Belgian Settlers in Patagonia
In 1948, four Belgian families, the De Halleux, De Smet, Amand de Mendieta, and Cardyn, chose to exchange war-ravaged Europe after World War II for a secluded, untouched land located in South America's wild and magnificent Chilean Patagonia. The documentary recounts the epic and reflections of their colonization of Chile Chico, on the edge of the large General Carrera Lake and its blue mountains.
