I have warm undertone with a bit of neutral. I look best in sunshine yellow, mustard, brick red, terracotta, all the earthy shades. I didn’t discover this until a couple years ago. I simply wasn’t paying attention, then I noticed I would get more compliments when I wore my mustard sweater and maroon fleece jacket. Now that I know, I take photos of my favorite outfits, repeat and then I switch up a few pieces ✨🙌🏾🌞💛🌻🌼🍯🏵
Wow, those palettes at 6:17 and 9:15 are on point! If the only one that I’ve seen where the entire palette is suited for us! You should really consider selling them as a color fan, color wheel or palette cards!
Okay all of this makes so much sense I always tell people I hate how I look in crisp white. I’m definitely a soft warm. The colors I’m seeing are definitely the one I gravitate too anyway
I'm still not 100% what I am BUT your vid helped me narrow it to two choice, soft & dark warm. Thankssss❤❤ My undertone is neutral leaning warm. My contrast is somewhere between medium and high. And my colors don't have to be too muted or saturated.
Oh my gush! All these years of wrong thinking and wrong choice of colors today I have found out I am a Light Warm Palette. Oh my goodness no wonder I thought I was not photogenic I was just not wearing the right clothes for my skin tone. Thank you for this video.
I'm so glad this helped you😊 This happened to me before, I had to many grey items, but i look terrible in grey, thanks to my research I was able to find out why that was.
Yup! This video confirms what I've known all along my season is definitely Autum. But I feel like I'm a mix of soft warm and dark warm. I've always found muted iterations of bright colors to look good on me e.g. mustard yellow, burgandy, forest & army green etc. Great video!
Can you do a video on texture theory and hair. I’ve hear knits with straight hair. Or if you want to soften up a look with silk and lace. Then for masculine with leather . Things like that! Loveeee your channnel
@@cocoastyling yes ! The connotations behind certain textures I’ve been learning about such as silk and lace is more feminine and things like leather is more masculine . So depending on your style you can add more or less of each one. I wanted to know if there other other fabric textures that have similar con nations of feminine or masculine
My jaw literally dropped at one point because you ended up describing me and my features down to the freckles lol and I realized what I season I was… thinking back about outfits colors I received most compliments on.. the colors fall in your dark warm palette. Thank you!
Clear warm here! Dark hair and eyes with medium brown skin. While my hair and eyes are black-brown, in sunlight they are almost orange in undertone. I have an overall yellow undertone and bright features with high contrast. Funny thing is, i thought i was an autumn till my uncle pointed out the brightness in my skintone. I did more research and now i realise im a spring! Very happy. Thx
When you said dark autumns may have a warm undertone but hair and eyes may have a cool undertone, it finally clicked😭 this was and is the most confusing thing for me, my veins are green, warm undertone, but my eyes and hair were giving very much cool features😭it was stressing me out
I am loving this series! I’m awake at 1.38am getting my learning on. I’m an autumn, warm dark but also feel I could be a warm clear. Are those similar in any way?
I love your content , it’s so interesting! I just subscribed. I’m a dark brown girl even though sometimes I feel like I’m in between deep brown and dark brown, I have green veins, black hair, dark brown eyes. What would be my season ? I can’t figure it out.
What if you're a Fenty 310, very yellow undertones, dark hair and eyes? It's higher contrast like an dark warm autumn, but has the very warm skin of a clear warm spring
I never thought Naomi was Autumn! Naomi has a lot of contrast but seeing her in silver/platinum she shines, when she wears gold it just never looks as good.
Since she has a neutral warm undertone (she shows her foundation in a get ready with me), her gold shades are very specific, they should be too warm because they can get lost in her coloring and she can also wear some shades of silver and look amazing!
The only problem I have is that I can't distinguish all this red, orange, blue, Grey undertones😭 if I could, it'd be very clear to me😭 I feel like I have a bias. I want to be warm, so sometimes I go with warm. I have to rewatch all these videos again😤
See if you look better in clear colors or rich colors! that can help a lot For example True Red vs Brick Red Bright orange vs Burnt orange Lime green vs Forest Green
in most of my pictures i look red, especially in the sun. but sometimes I look yellow in unnatural white light like by my lamp. does that mean I'm cool?
Thank you so much for this very informative video on skin tones. I'm a light brown with very dark hair and dark eyes plus green undertone. Am I a dark warm palette ? Please can you confirm. Thanks in advance.
We're 3 sisters and I think we have all similar elements but they have different undertones to me. Sis 1 (me) Green veins, light brown skin, black hair and eyes, high contrast. I have freckles on my face. Sis 2 Bluish green veins, brown skin, black hair and eyes. High to medium contrast, no freckles. Sis 3 Both green and mostly blue veins. Light skin, black hair and eyes. High contrast. Freckles. So is sis 1 warm dark autumn, sis 2 warm dark autumn and sis 3 cool dark winter?? So confused 😕
Sounds like it could be that way, winter vs autumn would be cool or warm High contrast level usually indicates Dark or Clear. And medium is usually Clear, soft, or somewhere in between any of the types. I'm re doing the color series with more information! That could help, the first video is already out, and hopefully i will upload the second one this week
Omg where have you been all my life? I love your content!! I am dark brown, with warm undertone, dark hair and dark brown eyes. I think I am a warm soft. What do you think?
Welcome!!💖 You could be clear, dark, or soft. It really does depend on your contrast level. Soft- You look better in muted colors, aka, pastels Dark- You look better in rich colors Clear- You look better in bright colors
Am so confused. I am peach toned but look better with orange and yellow foundations. However, I don't look nice in the typical earth colours. I look drag in browns, greens. I don't look any better in greys or blacks. I seem to look nice in teal, orange red, fuchsia and mustard. My veins are green. I truly struggle to find colors compliment as it looks like I look nice in colours in several seasons.
Some times depending on our colorations not all of the colors in a seasonal palette will fit you, unless it is custom made for you. You might need a bit more contrast and more brightness in your colors, indicating that maybe you fall somewhere in the Clear Spring realm:)
My foundation says that I am olive: rich with neutral green undertones and my concealer says I have deep skin with caramel undertones. My hair color is like a 1b which is kinda a warm black. My eyes are brown like a dark gingerbread color in the sun but darker in the shade. Am I soft warm or dark warm?
I’m so confused haha. I wear a lot of bright colours tbh and I think I’m warm. I don’t normally choose cool colours to wear. But I look really good in light greys and not so great in very dark colours so I’m here confused if that’s dark autumn or not 😂
You can have different coloring on different parts of your body, but the most important part is your face! Try to wear warmer colors near your face to make it pop.
Yes! You can be in the middle, most of the times you will tend to lean towards one side, but you can create a custom palette if you are between types, you just have to know what are the characteristics of your best colors.
i'm still really confused about my color analysis. i am deep brown color skin and i'm quite neutral-warm. My eyes are dark brown and my hair are not jet black. what am i? a clear warm ?
@@cocoastyling i think i have a medium to low contrast because when i set “black and white color” my face blend with the hair and my skin tend to look lighter. I even tried to lower my contrast and my face turns out grey.
I am more confused than ever. First of all most of Africans dont get these 4 seasons meaning they have never experienced the colours that change during the seasons so how do we find our palettes or groups. I thought this was supposed to be inclusive or is it for darkskin women that live in certain regions that have winters and summers only? Are there other words to describe the groups that are in line with our seasons- rainy, cool, harmattan, dry, hot etc Secondly i tried to find a category for myself but couldnt. I thought i was dark or clear autumn but the colours you recommend for that season dont match with my skin tone. When i wear bold colours, pink, yellow, green, and mixed colours people say they suit me. Sorry but these classifications doesnt seem to help us. Can you either breakdown with our seasons or give examples of people without wigs, weaves or with their natural hair. The only examples that seem familiar are the south sudanese girls
They are called Color Seasons because those are the colors that you would naturally find during that season, but that doesn't mean that you have to wear those colors during a specific season. If you are a Spring, you would wear your spring palette all year round:) Your seasonal palette is about your coloring, not about the place where you live. If you look better in bright colors, then you should look into the Clear seasons!
