I was so freaked out when I went to edit my wedding from the weekend! The first thing I thought was, "Does Katelyn know about this? I have to talk to her!" And here you are, saving us again! I love you!
I am MIND-BLOWN! Why haven't I used Split Toning (Oooops, I mean "Color Grading") before? Ha! Now I feel like I want to re-edit all of my past galleries for my clients! Complete game changer! Thank you SOOOO much for creating this tutorial for us!
THANK YOU for this video!! I was freaking out just two days ago when this got updated for me because I have sessions to edit and was pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to figure this out! I’m so glad I’m not the only one wondering about this!
I was so pumped when I saw that announced at MAX. It’s a phenomenal tool for video editing and I’m so glad Lightroom has it built in now to achieve similar effects.
I just spent 40+ hours on Lightroom courses after previously using Capture One (Fujifilm user) and am going back to C1 exactly because it's way better at this sort of tools. It even has dedicated skin tone tools. The only thing Lightroom is better at at the moment is its automatic masking features. But advanced editors would rarely actually need those anyway. (Not calling myself an advanced editor here. 😉 )
Sadly I haven’t been working with photos a lot lately so I’m late to this game but just wanted to comment how much I appreciate this overview. It was very helpful for me.
I'm only familiar with this new version on Lightroom. I like your explaination of how to use color grading. The Split Toning panel still exists. What is the difference in Split Toning and Color Grading and why would one be used over the the other?
I just found you and this tutorial. Have you done one on color grading for style across a few images, or as a photographic style? Thanks. I’ll check out your other tutorials. Geoff
I have a laptop that I recently upgraded to Windows 10 (it had Windows 7) and then I updated Lightroom and Lightroom went nuts! It would freeze and lag to the point that every action and command was excruciatingly slow. Has anyone else experienced that? I've had four different "fixes" from Adobe and each only fixes it partially or for a short time. It's practically impossible to edit and I went back to a lower version of LR for now so I can work. Just wondered if anyone had any advice!!
