Hey. Work in print with laser printers and just thought I'd say our manufacturer of our printers about a year ago introduced machines capable of white, silver, clear, and gold in addition to CMYK. While new still we can't bulk order those 'new' colors like we can with CMYK and it's currently subscription based and my place of business hasn't approved for that cost but I do look forward to trying it someday. Been in closed production printing since 2004 cool to see where technology goes.
thanks for showing the Preview Settings, I thought Clip Studio was useless because the colors were becoming dull after export. It turns out the color profile of preview was different.
Hello! Can you give me hand? All my settings are for sRGB and the color is pretty vivid in my tablet but when I export in any of the mentioned formats the colors looks moody and desaturated in any other device, some little detail is passing by me and Im not noticing 😢
@@carlosnazario1825 it is because the preview color or the file’s color is Display P3 so when you export it in sRGB, it is more dull. My suggestion is to paint and export in Display P3 ( more vivid and vibrant colors ) and when you upload, the platform converts by itself or use a photo editor to convert to sRGB
awesome vid! altho a question, what would happen if I print a rbg image? like not in cmy but in RGB?? i did it 2 times and I think it looks close to what i intended, and, should i start a file in cmyk if i intend to print it?
if it worked out, then thats lucky! most of the case you make the switch just in case to get more sure results. some rgb colors (like really vibrant/fluorescent) may turn out drastically different in cmyk.
You can still follow the same steps for converting the image to cmyk, though you will likely have to compress your final image to fit a website's requirements.
IT HAS 1) U.S. WEB COATED (SWOP) V2 FOR MAINSTREAM AMERICAN COMICS 2) EUROPE ISO COATED FOGRA27 FOR MAINSTREAM EUROPEAN COMICS 3) sRGB ICExxxxxxx FOR WEB COMICS 4) ADOBE RGB FOR MAX RGB VALUES AND PROPHOTO FOR 200% EXTRA COLORS ON TOP OF ADOBE RGB (This thing is useless!) IT HAS EVERYTHING FOLKS
Thank you so much! I was about to send a PDF to an art exhibition but I though: OMG, it is still in RGB profile... I need to change it to CMYK before sending it (they will print the artwork).
This is a very well made video! Well explained, very useful information especially for people who are just starting with digital art! Keep up the good work😊💕 + the artwork is amazing you have a very unique style, it truly love the eyes😍✨✨
thank you very much for this video, you make it all very clear. I would like to have the srgb option enabled by default at the moment of opening, is it possible or do I always have to enable the srpg option after creating each new file?
this helped me figure out what CMYK i have to put into my art but you said it'd only desaturate a little while, for some reason, my art colors completely invert and idk what to do :(
What if you don’t know where it’s going to be printed at? I’m not sure if my mom will know where she wants it to be printed yet . Doing an art piece she requested
Hello , I am a beginner. I encountered this bit of problem. You see i have clip studio paint 1.11 Ex and there is no color wheel visible to me. I checked all possible to know where the color wheel is but can't find it. There is a color palate. Can you please tell where can I get color wheel
hi.. thanks so much. I want to ask you. i have tried to follow the instruction to set the color preview. But, when i try to open the tonal correcting in preview setting, it can not open in my CSP app. why?
hi ahmad! do you know which 'profile for preview' you have selected? if you're converting your image FROM rgb to cmyk, make sure you have a cmyk profile selected, you should be able to toggle the tonal correction. if an rgb mode is still selected, chances are that's the reason you cant change tonal corrections!
Yes you can! Unfortunately it won't always be 100% the same when you switch from one color setting to the other, but you can still toggle the colors to the best of your ability.
Brilliant thank you. I found this on the clip studio forum. Does moving the correction curve mean that when it is printed it will look the way you want it to or just how it looks on the screen?
Anything you adjust will look that way on the screen, but not necessarily in print. Unless you have a screen-calibrator hardware like another comment says, it could be likely you'll have to manually print, check, and adjust your file a few times before you get it exactly how you want.
Thanks! If it prints out too dark, then I would just advise you to bump up the brightness on your computer, and try printing it again after that! Don't be afraid to make adjustments if a print doesn't seem right!
