PEOPLE! YOU! READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING! Hey hey! I have been getting a lot of the same comments, so before you say anything read this! Hey! I’m nikko, and I know color theory! You know what that means? You don’t have to explain why the art is doing that, when I already know! Yayyyyy! Explaining the video so you don’t have too!: the character I have drawn looks white when she is purple? This is because I have a dark purple background, cool toned influenced colors for my character and shaded with green instead of yellow. What app is this?: I use procreate on my iPad! Why doesn’t it look like the same color?: color theory! It sucks, I hate it! I can’t tell because of the video quality?: sorry, I’m recording my iPad with my phone when I should have screen recorded, my bad :3 That’s about it, thanks! Now you can delete that comment you were writing, or post it anyways! We don’t care! Love you guys!!💙💙
Edit: If you guys are confused on how it works read my comment or the top comment So basically colors look different when they are on other colors, so people get confused sometimes on how it works
I’ve helped over 10 comments try to understand this, if you still don’t understand please look at the top comment, Also that is a very beautiful piece of artwork! Now I want it as a sticker lol
this is called color context!! when you put a cool grey on top of a rusty colored red-orange, for example, it will look blue! the context of the background matters in how we perceive colors!
Fun fact abt brains if yout dont know color theory! Basically whats happening here is you use the same color but once you put it on a dark and light side, your brain tries to be smart and makes the color on the darker side lighter and the one on the lighter side = darker but its the same color. Hope this helped. :D
Lemme explain color theory. The warm colors are red, orange, yellow cold colors is blue, purple, green(i guess) Edit: ok now shut up i know its not color theory, i search on google it just always shows up he warm and cold one i just didn't know.
I don’t understand how people don’t get it. ITS BECAUSE OF THE LIGHT THAT IS BLURED JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER VIDS. THEY HAVE SOME SORT OF SHADING OR BLURED COLOUR THAT YOU CANT SEE THAT CLEARLY THEN THE COLOUR U USE JUST THEN MUST HAVE BEEN IN THE LAYER UNDER THE BLURED LIGHT OR SHADE CAUSING THE COLOUR TO LOOK DIFFERENT 😭😭😭 HOW DO YOUS NOT REALISE? IM LITERALLY SPED AND I KNOW THIS.😭😭
Sorry if you're trying to explain this, but it's the colors around it that makes it look different. I don't really get what you're saying, your wording is confusing me.
it is the same. but if u use a normal shade of pink, it looks darker on white paper and brighter on black paper and its normal that the purple looks darker since its glowing and its white
Here’s an explanation, colors look different depending on its surroundings, the fur of the character is around a dark setting, but when we put that fur color on a light surrounding, the fur color looks darker
It's a different color. I took it into ibisPaint and tested it myself. The only difference is that you probably have another layer on top of it that changes the color on the right. You can also see the line has a gradient to it, meaning it's a different color. It's not color theory, i think you just have another layer on top. (no hate!!! :])
No offense but that doesn't make a difference. If you eye drop the color in any app, even if you just screenshot it, and make a line to the other one, it's a completely different color
"The character looks white when they're actua-" no they don't, they literally don't look white in the slightest I feel like you're trying to gaslight me
The colors around it make the color look different. For ex. Like 5 mins ago I was coloring a digital picture a pikachu I drew and when I got to coloring the mouth, Ian orangish hue looked like pink because the colors surround ping it were really warm (yellow, brown, red, etc.)
Ok so lemme explain so our eyes gets kinda confused so its kinda like an illusion different colors can affect how we see this color search ''vsauce color'' for the full explination
Lf you don't understand. the purple went to the bright color as you can see they are the same the other purple is supposed to be another color. But it's the same color. That's why the title of this trend is color theory. Comment Below lf i missed anything!❤ And np🤪🤪
