Pulling fabrics for your quilting projects are suppose to be fun, not stressful! In this video I show you some tips I use when selecting my fabrics and how amazing sewing with color can be! To create my colorful contrasting quilt blocks I used a mixture of AGF Elements and AGF Denim. Using the instructions from a past AGF Quilt Block Collection video I created three blocks using the Color Wheel as my guide!

Thanks Deborah, I got this color wheel in Fashion Design school. Never really used it but it came in very helpful for the video! Going to use it more often, especially when I get stuck on what colors to use. ❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙

I absolutely love getting a print I love and matching prints or solids to build up my quilt. Sometimes I get a fun random idea though and it is fun auditioning lines to go with that idea. Loved your blocks and the fabrics you chose!

Fabric pulls are my favorite too!!! When you make a quilt do you make a test block to see how the fabrics look together? I know people do. I never do I just go for it! Sometimes it works and sometimes it's not exactly how I planned but I end up loving it by the time I am finished haha 😊 These blocks make me smile so big... The colors are sooo beautiful in person! 🤤

Art Gallery Fabrics Oh I am a big fan of diving right on in! I think it is fun to see it come together and being surprised by the end result! Do you have a favorite color combo that seems to sneak its way into your quilts or do you like mixing it up? I am noticing that purples and pinks with splashes of teal are making their way into my quilts...this has been a hard year and I gotta say these colors do tend to brighten my day! In years past greys and blues of all shades made their way into my quilts because they are so calming. Love how colors really do help your mood.

@@barbarakonkle2090 Your color combos sound great! We like to mix it up for sure. We make a lot of quilts based off of each new collection so its always fun finding pure solids and elements to mix back with our designers collections. I used to do a lot of blues and creams and calming colors for myself. I also noticed lately I have been choosing more exciting color combos!
