Thank you for doing this demonstration there's hardly anything with black people's hair and the ones do they are usually on here, usually don't even have 4B 4A or 4c hear the hairs more softer in a black people's hair is quite diverse so I'm really happy that you did this cuz your hair has similar texture to my own probably a bit softer than mine.. So thank you.
I just tried this product, really like it. I was out today humidity high sprinkling a little. Hair got a little fuzzy; but way better than it has ever been. I'm going to continue to use it.
Personally, I think your hair was beautiful anyway, especially after you took off the plastic wrap. The plastic wrap really tames the hair. The true test is if your hair is exposed to humidity or splashed with water or a liquid, if it will revert. Do a video testing it that way. Your hair is bomb squad.
@@lavishsafiya. I tried it. I have grey 4C hair, highly porous and going through menopause which makes the sweating worse. I didn't do a proper silk press so it's reverted a bit but I will definitely keep using it. My hair has NEVER been this soft after a shampoo, no matter what I've used and I've spent a ton of money over the years! I'm seriously impressed!
@@menow7903 I'm glad you found the product beneficial... it stays in the hair for a few washes so you should be able to go a few washes without reapplying the product... Maccadamia professional shampoo and conditioner are really good at leaving hair nourished and moisturised, i've recommended it to a few menopausal ladies and they loved the results on their hairs; you may see some benefit from using them on your porous hair too... i'll leave the link below if want to check them out, let me know what you think of them if you do try them... amzn.eu/d/77IwirP
@@lavishsafiya. Thanks for the recommendation. I've also spent a ton of money on shampoos and found that the Garnier Ultimate Blends works well for me but if that changes I'll try the Macadamia. I can hardly keep my hands out of my hair for the softness, this WOW product is really growing on me! Been covering up my grey with wigs and weaves for ages, looks like I can leave them behind now!
Not a question, just dropping by to say thank you for how you are answering your viewer’s questions, comment and concerns with care ❤️🤗we appreciate you! I just purchased Olaplex 3 and WOW Dream Coat and now am watching this and am very excited to use both for the first time. Okay maybe I do have a question :) If I was to purchase 1-2 more Olaplex items in the near future, which would you say are most beneficial - although I know different textures matter - I’m 4C- however which would be most beneficial to retaining healthy hair post WOW treatment/in between washing. Also, how often did you wait before using the treatment again?
Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it... 💗 The products you should be using on your hair depends on a variety of individual factors but to be general a few products that will benefit most people are: Olaplex no. 4c - it's a clarifying shampoo but leaves the hair feeling soft and nourished. (you don't need to use it every wash, it is best used when you have product build-up so you have a clean base to work with). Olaplex no. 6 - it is a leave-in smoothing cream, I use this every wash day and daily along with olaplex no. 7 ( for day to day use I mix a small amount of 6 & 7 and apply it to the ends of my hair, then comb through my hair). Olaplex no.4 - on a normal wash day when I don't need to use a clarifying shampoo I will do my first wash with this shampoo Macadamia Professional Ultra Rich Moisture Shampoo - I use this shampoo for my second wash, so I can maintain a healthy moisture balance amzn.eu/d/iPBu9M5 Macadamia Professional Ultra Rich Moisture Conditioner - this is my go-to conditioner, it's thick and creamy and leaves my hair feeling and smelling amazing... amzn.eu/d/iPBu9M5 I use dream coat for special occasions, for that extra bit of security and finish to my silk presses, the product stays in the hair for up to three washes providing you don't use a clarifying shampoo or a shampoo that contains sulfates. I don't use it on a regular basis because my hair is low porosity; which means it is difficult for moisture to get into the hair shaft. Dream coat is a mini keratin treatment which basically creates a protein sealant around hair strands filling in damaged gaps in the hair and blocking moisture (humidity) from getting in the hair temporarily... If I were to use it regularly with my porosity type, I would have protein overload and my hair would become dry and brittle. for my wash day when I want to remove dream coat from my hair, I use a clarifying shampoo 2x and make sure I do a treatment and deep condition my hair (with my steam cap or hair dryer) to get the moisture back into my hair. I hope you find this information helpful, if you have any more questions drop them below💗
Thank you for the explanation! Did your curls revert back after you washed your hair again? Let’s say you want to use color wow every week, would you experience protein build up if you washed your hair with a clarifying shampoo weekly? I treat my hair with Olaplex weekly but my blow drys are not great. I loved your results with the blow dry alone and I would want to use this product just to get your blow dry look and bounce, no flat iron. Thoughts?
@@lrobinson2584 You’re welcome, thanks for your comment... My curls remained the same after using color wow dream coat... I wouldn’t advise using a clarifying shampoo more than once or twice a month unless you have a large amount product build up, as they can strip the scalp of the essential oils that keep hair healthy Dream coat lasts in the hair a couple of washes as long as you follow the after care instruction’s in my description you can stretch the amount of times you use it. I would advise you to check your hairs porosity by doing a porosity test (theres loads of info on how to conduct one on youtube) to see if it would be beneficial or detrimental to your hair using dream coat continuously long term, if your hair is low porosity you may be prone to protein overload and disrupt your protein/ moisture balance and that might dry your hair out after a while.... Which Olaplex products are you using? what are the outcomes of your blow-drys currently? knowing your hair porosity can be a real game changer, it can help you to choose the right type of products and utilise the best hair care methods to maximise your hair health and styling outcome; which could improve your blow dries! Everyones hair is different so the outcome may differ slightly depending on hair texture and density but I can confidently say that dreamcoat gave my hair the best blowdry results i've gotten doing a blow-dry on my own hair. There are small travel size dreamcoats available if you want to try it out on your hair without the commitment of a big bottle I hope you found this useful!! 💗
The product stays in the hair for a few washes... Try and wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo and use K18 Leave-in Molecular Repair Hair Mask. Hope it helps
@@PipaRose1 I usually use Olaplex No. 4C Bond Maintenance Clarifying Shampoo but i'm gonna change over to K18 Peptide Prep Detox Shampoo and try that out and see how it compares... both have good reviews; either should be good options... Let me know how you get on
Your'e welcome 🙂 The product didn't damage my curls, I have used it a few times before styling my hair straight and haven't noticed a difference after washing. It can be used for curly styling too, i haven’t tried it myself though.
That was one of the down sides for me, as someone who straightens their hair frequently; I use a few products pre blow-dry, I take my heat protection seriously... I used heat protectant straight after the blow-dry but the polymer is a heat protectant and protects the surface of the hair from heat damage
@@altheadawn2531 my results were pretty much the same, summers in England aren't as hot or humid as other countries so results may vary if your based in a warmer climate
Hi, the product is for all hair types but I would assess the health of your hair before using it because it is a mini keratin treatment, so you need to be able to condition and do treatments on your hair regularly to have a good protein/moisture balance to keep your hair healthy! If in doubt have a consultation with a professional before hand to avoid harming your hair
Not even relaxed hair withstands swimming. I don't understand, it repels humidity to protect against frizzing, not washing. So, why do people think you'd be able to go swim and come out with dry or straight hair? It's not a straightening treatment.
@@goodthewizard Hi, thanks for your message; I haven't experienced any unusual shedding whilst using the product as instructed over the past 5months; without knowing their haircare routine I can only assume that they may have been experiencing breakage due to lack of moisture. Color dream coat acts like a mini keratin treatment, so post-care is important after doing a keratin treatment to maintain hair health and longevity. ⭐️ Use sulfate-free products, Sodium lauryl sulfate is a cleansing ingredient in various products, it strips natural oils and weakens the hair follicle, which over time may result in damaged brittle ends. ⭐️ Avoid washing or getting your hair wet for a few days post-treatment, as doing so inhibits the process of the keratin sealing into the cuticle. ⭐️. Don't pull your hair back into a ponytail, bun, braids, etc. Leave it down and straight to avoid getting dents in your hair while the keratin absorbs. After the first few days if you decide you would like to put your hair up use a soft satin/silk hair scrunchy. ⭐️ Keratin and additional healthy ingredients will best absorb into hair when moisturized, so be certain that you are incorporating moisturising shampoo, deep conditioner, masks and leave-in conditioners into your routine. I use Olaplex 3, 4, 6 and 8. I hope you found this helpful 💗
I didn't use leave in conditioner beforehand because dream coat needs to be applied on clean hair void of product; I didn't want to deviate from the directions. I used a small amount of olaplex no.6 mixed with olaplex no.7 a few days later.
Hi Stacie, It is not listed on the dream coat ingredient list on the website, some other source's state that it contains DMDM Hydantoin a formaldehyde-releasing agent deemed safe by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Broad, either way I feel comfortable using it as DMDM Hydantoin is said to be safe in small does and is used to prevent mould and bacteria in cosmetic products.
@@lavishsafiya. ghusl means major purification in arabic. It's a muslim practice. Basically, you have to wash your body and hair anytime needed and it can be several times a week . So she wants to know if the product will still be effective even if she pours a lot of water on her hair like for exemple 3 times a week . Sorry for my english, l'm still learning. Hope l was clear enough .
@@ley_la9554 Thank you for enlightening me, your english was good don't worry!. The more frequently you wash your hair the less product will be left in the hair; if its just water it wont strip the product from the hair like shampoo would. I hope my answer was helpful 💗
@@bellefairydust I straighten it around every two to three weeks as I like to stick to a consistent washing schedule. I limit breakage by doing as follows: •using Olaplex 3 •maintain a good protein/moisture balance •trims when needed •wrap hair with a silk/satin scarf •deep conditioner •I limit up do’s and avoid hairstyles that put tension on the hair •drink water to keep the hair hydrated and try and have a balanced diet Hope you found the reply helpful…
Does this help with DETANGLE??🥹My hair is thick and coarse and I use a leave in conditioner and heat protector before blowing out because helps to detangle it but it say to not use any product until after, so it seems I will struggle with the comb out and detangle, unless this helps to detangle as well???
No, it doesn't aid in the detangling process, there's no slip to it; its a watery consistency. I would try finger detangling when you deep condition and try to keep the hair stretched and sectioned off as much as you can during the whole process. Twisted sections help me, my hair will knot up if I don't do them. I definitely wouldn't deviate from the instruction as dream coat needs to be applied to clean fresh hair so it can penetrate the hair strands, using other products may create a barrier which could hinder the effectiveness of dream coat. There is heat protection in dream coat, I used my usual heat protectant after I finished blow-drying dream coat into my hair. 💗
@@lavishsafiya. thanks for the quick response and all the great information you provided.🤗I’ll think about trying this product, because I’m use to detangling which works wonders for me, so this may not work for my hair without being able to use a product before. Thank you again
