The Decalibron is a combination of four 14,000 foot mountains in Colorado: Mount Democrat, Mount Cameron, Mount Lincoln and Mount Bross. This Colorado 14er hike is approximately 7.25 miles with 3,700 feet of total elevation gain. It begins from the Kite Lake Trailhead. We just found out about the Decalibron loop! We are doing this in July. Super excited. We did Beirstadt at 2am last summer and it was a BLAST. Bangarang sunrise.

what a cool vid omg!! it looks incredible out there. i went to colorado a month or so ago and elevation kicked my ass (i live in fl). ill be back in a month and this has just become a goal of mine :-) thanks for showing

Thanks for the kind words! I would be very wary of the weather in October. The peaks are already getting snow. You do not want to be on the mountains without being prepared!

did the 4-14ers starting Kite lake and going down on Bross to Mineral lake where we left another car. That route down from Bross is so much easier (and longer). Democrat was the worst of the lot to conquer (hurts your knees the most). The others are relatively ok, but overall a great hike.

Appreciate the video. I went for that loop the week before you but as I hit the summit of Cameron I could no longer even stand up in the wind so I turned back. Not sure if I made the right decision since going back down into the wind was way more intense than the cross/tail wind I had on the way up, but next year...

Yeah the wind up there is crazy! I was almost blown off the trail a few times! It's definitely worth trying again, it makes for a great day

I hiked quite a few 14ners within my life the ones I have hiked is gray and tories by Georgetown Colorado it was a fun but also challenging hike for me it was great experience for me and my family but I want to explore more and experience more of the 14 thousand foot mountains in Colorado

and do you have any things you would recommend to bring on a 14ners food wise all I can think of is healthy and Greecy foods I'm just trying to find what other people eat or bring when they go hiking
