Media press conference introducing the 28th head coach in Colorado Football history, Deion 'Coach Prime' Sanders, alongside Chancellor Phillip P. DiStefano and Athletic Director Rick George.
@@markwhitley2145 yes I did because he recruited my son and we were there during homecoming so please don't speak on things you do not know fam let's keep a good spirit today and ☺
I am a 61 year old midwestern guy who now lives in Texas, but am now an unapologetic CU fan going forward. CONGRATULATIONS CU on this selection, and let’s Ride Coach Prime ! ! ! !
Forget about football!!!This man is making you feel what working hard is and in life and do your absolute best because you are your strongest competition. This guy is sooo loved by all!Loved the attitude he brought in his playing days!He played like he was against the devil and he wasn’t gonna lose!
The dude is just such an awesome person. How can you not like him? Dawg fan all the way but damn I’ll be rooting for Colorado next season. Great hire for them.
“He helped Joshua fight the battle of Jericho, he helped Daniel get out the lion’s den, HE HELPED THE BUFFALO’S MAKE THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF” “If loving Coach PRIME is wrong, I don’t want to be right!” -Buckeye wishing this man and that team nothing but the best.
I am really happy for Coach Prime and as sure if it's Gods will he will definitely do well Coach Prime you have my support and my prayers God bless you
I love listening to Deion a man on a mission with that drive I know will succeed. He genuinely cares about making an impact on these kids lives and that's a powerful thing. A lot of coaches just want to win games.
Athletes and coaches like Dione Sanders are a rare breed. They lead from the front. They ask nothing of the men following them, that they haven't done themselves! And the men behind him, know he did it better!! *Steel Talk*
Much respect to Prime! Proud to have witnessed his entire NFL career as well as witnessing his growth as a man an leader of young men. I was on the production crew of a popular tv show being shot in Las Vegas (2019) Prime was one of our celebrity guest stars... He came on set with little fanfare and zero handlers. He did his thing and went on with his life. Very refreshing to see someone so publicly hyped being low keyed and professional behind the scene.
Lifelong Gator and I friggin’ LOVE Coach Prime! Congrats to Colorado and JSU as well. So have enjoyed watching everything you’ve accomplished (JSU) as well. Will continue to root for you all. Excited to watch the Buff’s in the years to come. 😁❤️🐊👍
Can't believe people doubt him at anything he has been elite at everything he has chosen to do. Football, baseball, coaching, recruiting, he's proven it all. They are going to win immediately
And kudos to Rick George... I'll tell you one thing, the promotional channel or channels on RU-vid that Deion does and has where he lets all his players do this and that... It's little things like that that previous "Colorado" really had no feel for... I mean it's absolutely genius and it's what today's kids want and if you don't offer it they will go someplace else to get it.. I absolutely love it and it may take Colorado a little while to get used to it but in the end, it's going to be more than well worth it, I believe. As someone from the South and who attended The University of Colrado (88-93) i was sooo ready to give up all together. For the past 10+ years to me it seemed no one cared about Colorado football, not the school, not the adminstration, etc.. and its true NO ONE DID !! i felt Colorado didn't have the balls nor the desire or ability to think "outside the box". i was wrong and in the position they were in- there was no better choice ANYWHERE. I love it !!!! Go Buffs !!
Jackson State fans are not hating we are absorbing the hurt. I am pulling for coach and want to see him do well. Now JSU, and CU will look to the future. Hopefully the schools will connect because JSU will always be where coach got his Division 1 start.
Respect! Buff fans had Mel Tucker pulled away by Michigan State not very long ago, leaving the fan base with a bitter taste. To see comments like yours from JSU and the HBCU community is astounding, and says a lot about Coach Prime’s character.
@@michaelatencio2917 Yeah but after 3 seasons, he leaves. What kind of accomplishment is that. It took years for Eddie Roninson, Sr. to build Grambling making them a powerhouse HBCU and he still didn't get the respect. But Robinson stayed because he love coaching black athletes.
I understand he has his staff to think about ie salary wise but "HE AINT SWAC" not sure why he was insulted by the comment and he came from PWI and is going back to PWI
@@cinnamonstar808 .. I'm hurt 🤕 too! But the Man came outta his OWN pocket to better things for HBCUS - especially JSU. He left a HIGHER blue print to follow. He helped Raise Our Worth. He said he'd Create Change, he did that.💯
🇺🇸 I see Russell Wilson v2.0! Lots of talking.. but .....NO WINS! The Dion one man show. The lord rid of his toes... maybe his tongue next. Less talk and WINS!
It's strange that CU talks alot about academics and transfer standards. CU can't compare to Michigan, Texas, UCLA and many others in terms of academics. CU is is mid level school, on par with Oklahoma, Alabama, Kansas in academics. It's time CU put up or shut up, looks like they finally decided to not masquerade as an elite academic institution. It's a meh school academically. CU class of 96.
Auburn IMO made a huge mistake.. Fact is Deion is a legend and can recruit black kids . He has charisma to land the top recruits IE Travis Hunter . That alone for me would be worth a hite . It's really simple and all you have to do is look at coaches like Dabo Sweeney and even Mack Brown back in Texas days .Both better recruiters than HC IMO but they got a ring 💍
@@henrylee8510 Totally have to disagree, technically, it's flagship program is it's medical school, and IF you can't make it to a John Hopkins or a Harvard Medical School, this is probably the next best thing. It's Nursing program has a wait-list every year, and the Denver Metro Area has a plethora of medical facilities to be employed at IF you don't want to leave the area. Besides, Texas and California are bigger and warmer states, so competing with them from a reputational stand point is more about attracting high performing high school students then program quality. It's hard to get people to come to a colder, smaller state.
@@tacotom3492 Deion is a Superbowl winner, he has won at the highest level. You CAN'T skip past that. Stop focusing on the negative and focus on the future. It is about the kids, anyway.
I am 64 years old, but if I were a young man now, I would play for Coach Prime. This man is a leader of young men with a deep faith in God and a direction. Go get 'em Coach Prime!
Don't let them Brainwash you into thinking You're getting a good deal. These old EU people are devils out to keep you Stuck on Stupid, They take most of the money Uncle Sam doesn't get, then leave these player's Broke. WARN your sons about this story I heard at the Atlanta airport ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y5pwjRtNZMw.html
Man. Would run through a fucking brick wall for this guy. He’s not only gonna make CU great, he’s going to change how the country views football in Colorado. This hire is going to impact THOUSANDS of people. He’s right about one thing. God is GREAT!
VOLS fan!Been a Deion fan for soooo many years and as a teen wore the stew out of my cowboys jersey in the 90s!we may not see a coach with this attitude in a very very longtime!Respect Colorado!!!Congrats on getting this amazing person including player!Yall are blessed to have a diamond in the rough.Goodluck in the near future with this man!AND PLEASE sell your stadium out for this guy!!!
I have never cared about a new coach press conference but I had to see this bc of Prime and I watched the whole thing. It's hard not to pay attention to a HOF DB Goat and winning coach. Can't wait!
Congrats Coach Prime! I must say I feel for those JSU players who have to watch this before they play the celebration bowl and stay motivated. You got them to believe in you, and themselves. I hope they can remain grateful above all else for your sacrifices and investments when they look back. Just understand, culturally this is not the same environment adjust, weed, do what you have to to make it do what it do. We rooting for you.
Coach Prime, I've been a die hard Philadelphia ML Sports fan (all sports) since the '60's. I'm only a couple years older than you. I "grew up" with you, watching you play FB and BB, always loved you and respected you, regardless of the jersey you wore, bc of your spirit, grace and poetry in motion on the field. I live in Arkansas now and was so thrilled when you came to JSU bc it's so close. I have followed what you've accomplished at JSU, read articles about your challenges and successes there. Now, I've listened to you speak at this PC and also your first mtg with the team...I am even more blown away by you, your words, your spirit, your passion, your vision, your humanity. I just gotta say, I love you, Coach Prime. I think you are a wonderful human being and I have a tremendous respect for you. May Hashem continue to Bless You, Deion! And I pray that you are successful in turning around the lives of these young men and all those you touch at CSU and in the community. I hope that I might be blessed to meet you some day. Amen!
Guys in the LEAGUE who were babies or not even BORN when Sanders played relate to Coach Prime. Can you imagine the recruiting power he'll have at CU with their facilities and resources over what he had at JSU ? MAAAANNN 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Always been a big fan of prime time. As an FSU fan I think we dropped the ball on this one. Norvell is a good coach, but man the sky is the limit with coach prime. Talk about injecting some excitement into a program! Good job Colorado!
Prime only had 1 season of coaching when the FSU job came open. So it’s hard to offer a big time coaching job to a man that only had 1 year of college coaching experience. But looking back on it, it’s easy to second guess.
I agree with you and for those who’s giving him backlash I don’t understand it if he was called to another school then that’s where he should go. He did a great job with Jackson State and now Its their turn to take the ball and run with it!!
Obsessed Broncos fan here and new CU fan. I'm hella excited for this team. Shit I stood up and started clapping like I was in the damn press room my self, forgetting I'm in San Diego 😅😭. In college it's all about recruiting and he's one hell of a recruiter. Just ask me and my granny. We're heading to the portal now.💪😂
I love to see the Optimism. I was born and raised in Ohio and love this damn sport . As a buckeye that has moved and created a business in this great state I hope this program finds it way again . That being said this can go either really good or really bad lol good luck & go buckeyes !
This is different. Coach prime has integrity, morals, principle, confidence, & he cares for young men to succeed. We are blessed. Watchout the Buffs are Back
I was a graduate student at CU around 10 years ago, and now I am working in my home country, South Korea. AND I was watching the live stream with 15 hours of time lag. Excited, thrilled, and can't wait ANYMORE.
Watch out Pac 12 Colorado is coming. Glad to see Coach Prime get this opportunity God call him to Colorado and he will definitely change that program around.
It's crazy, I was heavily recruited in 1994-95 by Colorado coach Cabral, I walked the campus with Rashaan Salaam, Eric Bieniemy and Kordel Stewart. I unfortunately ended up in Mississippi Jackson St for a semester before I walked away from the sport and opportunity. But it's crazy to see prime coaching a both Schools I had interest in...
@@deerobinson557 politricks, let's say I burned a bridge that shouldn't have, and being big headed because I was 225 6'1 ran 4.40 40 I figured I'd be wherever I wanted. Then life happened... I was actually enlisted in the US Army infantry Air Bourne ranger before just not going last minute when my foster brother Tyree Washington talked me into Jackson St... Lol, I grew up across the street from Willie McGinest, I got moved around from Long Beach to Riverside because foster care, so I know quite a few SoCal names of my time, Pat Johnson, Brian Howard, Chris Claiborne, RJ Sower, David Dotson, and a few I probably forgot, but I was one of CIF top 100 recruits in 1995, but destroyed my career early. And it sucks because Colorado at the time was a perfect fit because I went both ways running back and linebacker, I would of excelled in Boulder but life... Lol I got all daughters and only one always tries racing me to win and gets mad, she may be my speedster foreal but she's only 9. But yes I had a good path, just not the best around me, and I didn't come from a good place. So 🤷
I am so happy for Coach Prime and CU it brings happy tears to my soul. CU is genuinely happy to him. I have never been a CU fan, but I am NOW…for sure. I can’t wait for next football season.
