Colorado Backcountry Elk Hunting and Camping During the Rut 

On this trip we get our packs ready to chase after bull elk in the backcountry with my muzzleloader during the rut. These elk have been getting called at for weeks now so the pressure is high and the elk density is low.
We have to battle through every single type of weather event Mother Nature can throw at us. It was a grind of a hunt but I wouldn't have done it any other way and with any other people. We had an absolute blast!
