You all prolly dont give a damn but does someone know of a way to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost my password. I would love any help you can offer me.
Excellent video, that is a tough ass truck. Great driving by the way. I had a trailboss traded it in 3 days ago for my 2021 ZR2 with the Duramax. Best decision I made. Absolutely love the truck, can't wait to make a few mods!!
@@robertyoung8289 I have a 2016 Tacoma trd/offroad, was thinking about selling it and getting a zr2. No problems with the Tacoma, zr2 just looks badass, gonna have to go test drive one.
@@timsr.6706 Wait till you drive the Zr2. So much better in every way. Drives modern. Super quiet inside powerful and shifts when it should. You wont be disappointed.
a little to the party but getting my black Duramax ZR2 delivered this week. Guys like you get me pumped, thans for the content brother. This will be my first car ever where i didnt settle. On color, anything...
I just picked up a 22 bison a couple weeks ago. Love it so far, did a muffler change, intake, and trifecta tune so far. Leveling kit, peak performance tie rod sleeves, and trim kit is in the mail then the 33s will be mounted thats sitting in the garage. THEN its trail time
This looks like the AEV add on package after sale. Drop ship a new ZR2 to their warehouse in Michigan and they add all these accessories to include 35 inch tires for ~$12k
@@marcduncan616 you're thinking of a different kit and package. This is pieced together and the fender is cut right above the holes for the fender flare pop clip things. Lol I'd like to see how it's cut as well because I'll probably be doing something like this too. Don't wanna shell out the multiple thousands for the high mark kit.
A side from the ZR2 capable, i know because I have one and have not been defeated on any trail to date. But you sir know how to drive it. Great video!!!
I just bought the ZR2 Bison Edition last night. After seeing this makes me want to take it out even more. I probably should wait though, atleast until my son wakes up to go. Lmao great video brother looking forward to more.
joe imburgia Thanks man I love this truck. There’s not a lot done to mine besides the bumpers and tire/wheel combo. It’s just a leveling kit and a lot of trimming.
ZR2 Patriot damn bro. Here I thought you had the BDS lift kit to fit those 35’s under there. Can’t wait to get 35’s myself man. Would love to also hit Moab. Good video showing what our trucks are capable off. I nearly had 600 plus miles on mine when I went to big bear gold mountain to try and keep up with my jeep buddies who had mods to their suspensions. I have a video of it in my channel, Good times though man.
@@projectextractjlurdiesel2395 Great video, I've been eyeing the Bison ZR2 with the baby Duramax... do you think the $5700 upgrade for the Bison package is worth it?
@@devincutting3198 I priced out the individual components in the Bison package and came to over $7500 if I caught everything. For me, if I get a ZR2, it will be with the Bison package since I want the majority of what's in the package.
@@h3effect480 Man nice to hear. You put a nice run (miles) on her. I’m starting to love and love more this truck. I just been trying to find information about her reliability. I know the diesel requires a little more work but that’s the one I want. I’ll be looking for good deals this fall. Keep enjoying that baby max n have a good one 😎.
@@JG-mg3if so Far the babymax is my favorite truck I've owned. The up keep is a tad more than an gasser but I think it will pay off in the long run. Besides the gearing is better for off-roading which is my main purpose of the truck.
Poison spider- that’s a pretty gnarly trail too it’s gotten pretty hairy in some spots over the past couple years Nice rig I am contemplating buying one
It was a solid truck. I had some big plans for it but I ended up getting the diesel wrangler when it came out. It was a really good daily and held its own on some of the toughest trails out there. It definitely had its limits but they were hard to find. Nice profile pic btw. Thanks.
I definitely wanted a diesel and had to be 4x4 but I couldn’t justify dropping an extra 10K just for additional front lockers and some suspension. I went with the Z71 diesel and have had it for a year and love it. Looking to mod it a bit in the future for off-roading but have a current project car that’s taking up all my resources.
I've been looking for a new project. I have a mustang and have been a Ford guy for years but the ZR2 seems like a very capable truck at a fraction of the cost of a Raptor.
Project Extract JLUR DIESEL any advice on cutting those fenders would be greatly appreciated. I can’t find any videos on it really. I don’t want those plastic flares on it. Thank you in advance!!
I just got a 2020 ZR2 and it's nice seeing what else it can do with a few mods. Mine is stock and still has that "new smell" ,so I'm to cautious to try the amazing things that you are doing with your truck. But I look forward to trying it out on some of the hard to traverse deer hunting trails where I go to hunt. My old AWD could never make it past a certain point like some of the jeeps and other 4×4 could, so I had to walk the rest of the way in to my hunting spot. By the way, your ZR2 is "bad ass" like everyone said!! Thanks for the great videos and look forward to seeing more whenever you post them.
Steven Thomas thanks man. It’s an extremely capable vehicle. Your going to have a ton of fun with it and I assure you it will get you where you want to go. It’s not a jeep, but it’s the closest stock IFS vehicle made. The lockers front and back are crucial to a lot of those obstacles. Look forward to making more videos.
Mine is still stock except for chopping the exhaust back a bit. I rally mine as a sweep truck for stage rally. They are extremely capable trucks in stock format
What wheels and size are you running? Did you re gear the truck at all? Looking for advice. I’m building a ZR2 soon and want to do the bds lift. Any advice is greatly appreciated
Combination of grinder/air saw for the rear. Gets a little more complicated in the rear because of the way they designed the bedsides. There’s a pinch seam all the way around the wheel well.
Texas_TForce lol how much trimming...all of it. It was a lot to clear these with only a level kit. This was the look I wanted thought before I even bought the truck. Inspired from the rockstar zr2 running 37s. Thank you.
Did you do the trim yourself, I hate cutting on my truck but I might have to check that out, I'm leveled on 33's very minor trimming and I scrub on hard bumps
Jake_MF_Lowe I did the trimming myself. I had the intention of doing this cut before I even purchased the truck. Once I saw that rockstar zr2 video I had to make it happen. That’s the end goal with 37s. AEV makes high cut fender flares now that would help guide you through the cut. They look pretty clean as well.
@@projectextractjlurdiesel2395 I'd say you made a better video than the rockstar video because theres was only a minute or so long. Hope to see more videos from you!
Did you jack up anything else? I’ve ran rental Jeep’s there before and am curious how bad I’d mess up my truck being stock too. No rear bumper scrapes?
@@trailstokemtb I know this is a year old but the rear bumper will get wrecked. I have a zr2, it didn't take long for me to crush the rear bumper. I have since done a bed chop and made a rear tube bumper
@@yermoffroad yeah man, no doubt. I’m still running stock and will probably leave it that way until I get my hands on a 23 or 24. I did throw on some shock skids and it’s enough for what I’ve taken my truck down. Just can’t pull the trigger on cutting my fenders.
@@projectextractjlurdiesel2395 bad ass truck sir! I see the Texas license plate. What products did you use on your truck? Wheels/ tires, level kit and who made the snorkel kit? Second, what size wheels? Last, what bumpers front and rear? Thanks!!
Taylor Joy I did not weld it, but it could use some reinforcements. I also thought of using a some type of filler in between the beside and inner fender. You can always get the AEV high mark flares to cover it as well. Thanks man.
What all did you do to achieve the 35? I don want body lift and don’t want to chop my truck up. Chopping makes things weaker and opens up places for rust
do a 2 inch level kit from truxxx then put 33s on it thats what i did and it looks more proportional . it a personal thing but 35s on a low truck don't look right
Used to be any easy answer with diesels but now with all the emissions they can have issues later on. The engine is solid, but I’d expect to replace emission parts after 100k.
Hey I’ve got a dumb question I’ve only ever owned motorcycle and sports cars and plan on getting my first truck soon I want to get the ZR2 Bison edition as I wanna start doing off roading/overlanding stuff like this so my question is would the gas or Diesel engine be the better choice for it? I don’t plan on towing anything at all. Thank you for any advice.
K9 I didn’t notice a huge change. Still hold gears on the highway and dropped about 1.5-2 mpg. When I go to 37s I might consider gears but for me there’s no need for them right now. Motor is stock no tune. Thanks man.
Daddyand PatsAdventures dwgoffroad 17x9 with 1.25 bora spacers you front to clear calipers. I’m not sure on the backspacing. These wheels won’t clear the calipers up front due to thickness so they might have discontinued them.
