Fishful Thinker TV went into production in 2008 and debuted on TV January 2009. This day was one of the very first the team ever filmed and ironically, it contains a fish species host Chad LaChance had never even seen in person, much less actually caught, and he'd never fished this lake either. It turned out to be a fun day filled with fish and laughs, and grayling have gone on to be a favorite species known for their cool looks and visual acuity when it comes to inspecting lures. I remember watching this with my dad. We regularly launched a Coleman crawdad at Elevenmile (which I do not recommend) and he immediately wanted to get up north and explore for Grayling. What an adventure.

Hi Fishful, I fished Pearl lake a few days ago and caught two good sized Grayling. I was vertical jigging a good sized Kastmaster. goldish in color with little brook trout spots on it. I was fishing mid day and paddled down to the dam and jigged vertical out about a hundred feet from the dam face. Right off the bottom, letting the Kastmaster hit bottom before ripping it up three feet then letting it fall. I caught six cutthroats and two grayling doing this. The grayling had a little mud on their belly and sides as though they had bee sitting on the bottom. Nice video, as usual. thank you, George.
