Yea, I think the emotion at the end of the trail really came thru in the video. I really was blown away when she made the banner and waited for me at the end of the trail in Durango. I'll never forget this 💕

All I can say is that biking this trail is so worth it!

I was about to say the same! This guy is a natural storyteller. I've done 3 bikepacking trips...and this one is now on my bucket list!

Thanks you! Davis Yates, who lives in my neighborhood (19 years old) rode with me on some of the segments and flew the drone and took the spectacular shots you see in the video. He's a great young cinematographer who put this video together.

Hi Carolyn - been a looong time for sure. So good to hear from you. Do you still reside in Indy? You probably know Donna passed away last year after a long fight with cancer. Winnie is 91 and going strong, still living in her own house. I hope you and your family are doing well. BTW - how did you ever come across this video?

@@davebaumann5567 , I am friends with Ken, Linda, Shelia and Charlie on Facebook and Ken had posted this video. My family moved to Brown County when I was in 4th grade, I bet you just don't remember coming down there. I may even have old pictures of visits! I married a Brown County man and we have 4 sons. We still live in Brown County on a hill with one of the best views in Indiana! I did know about Donna and was saddened by her passing. She fought long and hard. I talked with your mother recently and it was a good talk. She is a spry lady for sure! I enjoyed our talk a lot! It is good to hear from you! You know, WE are the old ones now. :)

She knew I wanted to do this and I was struggling to make it happen when she said that she would shuttle me to the trailheads.
