That's lovely with the river to one side and the hills and mountains on the right of the highway. It makes everything look so open mostly because there are fewer trees out that way, but its also highlights just how big all of it seems...if that makes any sense.
It was a very peaceful drive as well as a beautiful one. I completely understand what you mean, though. I love the openness, although the lack of trees can sometimes feel a bit barren or bland. The rocky terrain makes for interesting formations, all while showing you the geological history. There is a fossil area in Canon City, which was very cool. I will have another video up soon
@@BradsAdventureVideos Oh yeah its very different going through the Appalachians and the Blue Ridge Parkway with all the trees because of the lower elevation. Even so, the rocky terrain there has its own stark beauty that I enjoy too. I can easily understand why people settled there.
@darthroden I completely agree with you. I definitely want to travel more of the Appalachians at some point. Maybe sometime in the future I could even hike the entire Blue Ridge Parkway. It's a long hike but it would be full of incredible sights.
