Your videos always lift my mood and get me inspired to create freely. You’ve been such a blessing in the way you freely share your art and creative process with us. Thank you!
Thank you so much for helping me find mojo. I hit a dry patch and just didn't feel creative over the holidays, just blah! I started to clean my craft room and decided to sit down with a glass of wine to watch your vid. Look here, I pulled all of my "floral books" and started to just turn the pages and found a beautiful vase of flowers. Finally, I decided to sit down and play with my watercolors! I'm back and it feels so good! Thanks Densie for sharing your gifts! Love ya!
The one on the left looks like an abstract butterfly to me. These are so beautiful! I love your way of teaching and really look forward to your videos. They inspire me and help me to become a better artist. Thank you for all that you do, Denise. You rock!! 🩵🩵
It’s a ugly cold snowy day here so it was wonderful t see these beautiful springy pastel colors today. The pieces today are really lovely and inspirational.
PS. I agree about the color pallet cards or websites. Being a pretty newbie in watetcolors I like having that hardest decision made with choosing colors. Whether they go together or not. ❤
@@2lilowlsstudio i bought the best watetcolors brushes ect years ago. I used them, maybe 3 times. I have a few pieces framed. But now i have YOU and the cubes. LOL 😆 soo much easier, and my art watetcolor venture began last year and i love it.
Beautiful color palette and this inspo came right in time. 😀🤞🏻 I’m slowly getting back into my creative practice after my relocation to a new country and inhibitions hitting me hard. Let me loosen up a bit and gather inspiration 💚🫶
Happy New Year Denise,After your art haul video showing us the Flower colour palette book,it struck a chord with me,so have ordered a copy of the book along with both the colour cube boxes as well and the art nouveau Gansai Tambi paint set,I loved the way the final paintings turned out and can't wait for my copy of the book and cubes to arrive to inspire me as they have inspired you so much.(Matt)
@@2lilowlsstudio thank you for your fun and inspiring videos, you've helped me re-engage with how I create my art,I set myself one big creative project each year to work on for that year, this year it's to create an oracle deck and write the book to go with it and the flower colour palette book could be the starting point for this, when you talked about the book and why you love it something clicked in my mind too.Look forward to your next video(Matt)
Denise, I LOVE this. As you were working, I kept thinking of TobeySketchLoose (another artist I love one RU-vid) .... I kept thinking Toby was going to join in and take his pens and draw a sketch of houses from the Cotswolds or a beautiful castle from Scotland sitting on top of your work. I'd love to see the 2 of you join up and work together. I admire your work so much, and as always, you are so inspiring. TFS ..... 🩷 two amazing pieces to add to your collection. 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Have a great day and I'm glad you didn't use the 'knock your socks off Orange' 😂😂😂😂
As usual… I LOVE them‼️ - I do however, feel that a few of the pastel mauve dots could be continued downward, (in a random sweep of course 😊) so as to remove the square shape of them from taking over your lovely Abstract. ▫️ BUT… this is only my opinion. ha!ha! - I could watch you paint these every day, for months/years! - And each one you do, is new to my eyes, and NEVER boring‼️ 🫶♥️🫶
OMG, I saw that pallet and was like, what is that, that I dont have, lol. OPPS, i have those....lol but that book. Its on its way. How did i miss that book. LOL but im excited for this video because of your pictures. Very excited. ❤❤❤❤
I can’t get over how much I love these paintings of yours…the one you added orange to - fantastic!!!! Red cliffs in Zion Nat’l Park, green pines, waterfall…..just stunning. I’m taking notes 😊❤.
Love the spring like colors and how you extended the one on my left. Great color choice really feels whispy and ethereal like the flower bouguet photo.
This is so lovely, Denise! 🥰 I have had that book on my wishlist for ages. I thought it was so funny when you mentioned no DMs because I was actually thinking about messaging you. 😆 There's another abstract artist on here who seems to be inspired by you. She's making her thumbnails look so much like yours that I keep thinking it's your video! Which is probably why she's doing it. 😂😂😂 Anyway, love your videos! 🥰
Ha! I was getting such weird scammy DM’s on there that I turned them off. Now I don’t see the scam posts. I don’t get that on any other platforms. It’s weird. I wanted to mention I turned them off incase someone legit messaged me and got no response. 😁I’ve seen a couple who are very inspired by my thumbnails or exact videos and supplies. I just ignore it and don’t let it bother me. So glad you love hanging out with me!! Thank you! 🥰
@@2lilowlsstudio Not surprising you'd get lots of weird DMs and stuff with the traffic you get here. I've never DMed anyone here and have no idea how to even do it, so it was funny that the exact day I was considering it, you said you had turned them off, hehe. Love your videos. You da best! 😃
They turned out so pretty! I’ve ordered the color cube boxes and can’t wait for them to get here. I may have to check out this book too. 😊 Thanks for all you do to inspire us!
I didn’t get the cubes idea at first but have started looking at a site for similar inspiration and now really want the cubes! I can totally see the value of them now but can’t decide between the digital or the physical ones. They’re quite an investment but equally don’t want to buy the digital then wish I’d bought the actual cubes 😂 the problem with digital is the screen time out and also I’m messy so don’t want paint on my iPad!! I hope you love them - have fun creating
Hi Denise, I love, love, love this color palette, it soft and beautiful definitely reminds me of florals. I have to ask you if you've ever used tempra sticks before, they do not flake, or smear, they come in beautiful pastel colors as well as sets of many colors including a few metallic colors. They're easy to use and they don't need a fixative, they only draw back (maybe depending on how you use the) is they are not water so liable once they're dry, and they dry in about 90 seconds. You might like them?
I see city buildings with windows and trees on the left. That is a wonderful book (loved it when you did your art haul) and I love the spring color palette you chose as It is gray and windy here today. Thank you, Denise.
Yvonne
I like your encouragement not to exact copy you -- the goal should be to create, not to replicate. Start with color theory books or boxes, and borrow from your experience, examples, techniques & tools ... but create from those rather than copy those. Thanks!
