Yep! Same...I managed to redo their bedroom before I went abroad...I wanted to redo their lounge but never got around to it! I miss them a lot.....cherish the moments with them whilst you have them...if you can.

Your Dad absolutely needs a recliner. He deserves a comfy chair that he can pick out. My husband and I love Lazyboy. Your Dad would love one with a tall back that he finds comfortable. Your Mom can pick out the color after he picks out the most comfortable one for him. Please think of him.

Selena, her mom, & her dad, and SLIME!! What more do you need for fun! A suggestion for doing this kind of project: dry-fit the panels of wallpaper/whatever onto your surface, then hold or clamp half of the panel, roll the other half back, & glue it down (probably clamp it too, or put something heavy on it. Then roll the unglued half back, put the glue (slime!!!) down & roll it down---using a brayer or a roller or even just a cloth to smooth it will help. The panels look great! Your dad is a riot---he always seems so quiet, but here he was like a big-game hunter who had scouted his prey & bagged it! Perfect pillow, dad!

Love your family. Your mom and dad are such a great couple. Your like my dad and I were when I was coming up. There were things we did just the two of us. I've recently been thinking a lot about our time together. I've been sharing our adventures with his grandchildren. Unfortunately he was taken away from us way to soon. I have vases and glass horses that my brother sent me from Vietnam I can’t imagine parting with them even though their not something I would buy my granddaughters have promised to take them and then pass them down to their daughters those lamps are beautiful can’t imagine getting rid of something that my child got me while he was serving in war or anywhere I have a knife set that my son got me when he was little it wouldn’t cut butter but I would never part with it guess I’m sentimental

Selena when your mother said she got you at 30 I laugh to myself because I had my child at 44 years old and now he is 30 . Your mom and dad home are beautiful and the pillow is pretty. Your dad and Pete have the same adorable attitude and I see way you married him
Hi love you including your family. Tell your mom I also had to downsize and when I set up my new very small kitchen the best thing I did made cooking one hundred percent easier I put my spices in the drawer right next to the stove in a plastic angle picke just for spices and on the other side of the stove I put my utensils. Yes I lost drawer space but reaching to the side and not having to reach over my head or use a stool makes up for the drawers . In my case I was able to only use half of the drawer and used the test for my knives. I am so glad I went with this system it allows my 75 year old self to cook for my family everyday with ease.
I didn’t go back to confirm, but think Sheila say today that she was thirty when Selena was born. There was also a comment about Sheila’s “big” birthday coming next. Therefore I think she will be turning 70.
