I'm completely self taught, since none of the schools I went to had guard. I wish I had something like this years ago, but I'm glad its here now. Definitely going to use this to correct my form, thank you!

This was amazing! I’m quitting marching and I really want to do color guard next year. Tryouts are in April and it’s October right now lol, so I’m still marching at the games, but this is my last year. Thank you so much for this! I feel way more confident and excited!

Cicada noises, lol. I was recording the other day for my channel and the noise was so bad I ended up doing a voice-over. I feel your pain.

My Guard calls them “extensions” instead of “windmills”, but this was a really helpful video nonetheless! Definitely going to use this to help me practice and improve my form for the fall season.

Hello, great video.. May I ask if it's okay to use a stainless steel pole instead of an aluminum pole?

I do a right slam toss (the basic toss) but I keep catching it at the opposite angle. I’m not sure how to fix this.

I’m trying to learn more after 2 year of not making my schools team.(how does a girl with a broken arm and an sprained elbow manage to make the team but I don’t and I have a good amount of knowledge?) but hear I am practicing every day and finally managed to do a pole hit toss. Time to learn more

im like two years late to this vid, but i got tryouts in a week and i jus wanna know, can cones also be referred to as carves?? i think my school calls those carves
@Keezfocer
@Keezfocer Год назад
Absolutely, Emily! While most schools teach things similarly, my stuff is just one version out of many. Every school and coach has their own unique preferences that are a little different. My video offers guidelines, but it is always best to use the terms and counts that your coach specifically prefers. Good luck at tryouts!

We didn’t call them cones or carves but I can’t remember what we called them but I know we called windmills either blue devils or Red Devils I wanna say we had one of each (which is crazy cuz I went to a baptist school hahahaha)!

They’re hollow aluminum poles. Swing flags which are a little different than standard flags can have wooden poles or pvc pipe for really large flags.
