With how smooth the paper is and how tiny the details are, I think you might have a more enjoyable time using a harder lead pencil. You mentioned needing a sharp point multiple times and most of your pencils still weren't getting all the details. Give this book a try with Polychromos or your Lightfasts. 😀
Hi Jennifer, I’ve started watching your videos and enjoying them . I am looking into buying colour pencils and a colouring book, and I’m just like you I like the pictures to be big. I’m retired and can’t afford expensive coloured pencils can you tell me the best ones to buy? I’m live in Canada . Thanks Loretta
Jennifer and Steve, hello from New Jersey! I love to finally see you coloring on Johanna’s book. How about a color along utilizing her illustrations? I’ve been hoping for an opportunity like this. Thank you!
Jennifer or Steve can you give me the link to the proper workbook that includes this “swatch chart” please? I want to purchase the hard copy. Thank you.💚
I have enjoyed this book, I find my polychromos work very well in this book, I need to update my Tri tone sheet and keep it handy! 😁 thank you for sharing your experience and recommendations
I have a concern!!!!! I bought all the Prismacolor Premier colors!! but!!!!!! To my great surprise, I am missing or have not received 2 colors .....PC 934 , PC 956 .... and the funny thing is that it is purple . My question is!! Are they discontinued or are they no longer manufactured???? .... 😢😢😢
I bought the X-Acto Mighty Mini sharpener but the pamphlet inside said not to use it with colored wax pencils bc they would clog the machine or break. How’s your experience with this one?
Curious if this is just your favorite 36 Prisma pencil colors or if this means you’ve now narrowed your previous “Essential 48” down to 36. Or do you still recommend the 48 essentials for travel?
I only get your email. RU-vid never let's me know when you are on. So if I don't look at emails I miss your time frame. That book has been showing up in a few colorists videos lately. Guess I need to check it out. Tfs
i rencetly got small victories and room of wonderls and ive been obsessed. i bought em bc like u said smaller illustrations to color and take way less time. i was gettin so burnt of my other coloring books bc they just take longer to do and most of the time i didnt feel like coloring in em bc of it..
Love your channel. I wanted to ask you what brush you use for brushing away crumbs. I see you use one but I've never heard you say actually that it was. I see other channels using them also but no one ever says. I don't want to have to buy random brushes to find out it smears or something. Thanks so much.
I need that 36 color chart in my life 😊 I'm still a beginner but I've learned so much by watching your content. This video was helpful and so relaxing to watch. I really appreciate how your background music wasn't too loud but it really enhanced the enjoyment of watching. I myself prefer bigger illustrations so I probably won't be picking this book up but overall she's one of my favorite illustrators.
Thank you Jennifer! I’m sure you’ve gone over this before, but this simplified method of organizing pencils and your workbook really encourages me to get started. Also love the music in this video, it’s just right. You and Steve have excellent production values ❤
Thank you Jennifer & Steve! I was blessed with a set of 150 Prismacolor Premier for Christmas and have made my own 36 PP color sheet like yours. Thank you for showing your beautiful blending techniques!❤
Another fantastic video 😊 That's a cute coloring book. I don't have a lot of time to color these days and it would be nice to have a bunch of smaller pictures I could color with what little downtime I have.
This is so cool...ordered what was missing from dickblick. Learning tri-tones is this year's intention, & applying them to all other media, beyond how sets come packaged, or depending on others' ideas of palettes...zentangle, collage, abstract art get equal time, but figuring out colors has been a challenge, esp shading, contrast, values.Ty both for so much effort, tips & techs!!!
I've been coloring in that book since mid December! I'm having so much fun - I'm using Prismacolor Premiums AND the Pentel Sparkle Pop that I discovered from one of your videos! So thank you. I am a Watercolor and Oil Artist mostly but I've been having SO MUCH FUN! I gave coloring books and colored pencils to all my kids & grandkids for Christmas. There has been some stressful situations these past few months and the coloring has been great for relaxation and stress relief.
