Been using VGP pretty exclusively for some months now. I love mixing in mods from different presets to arrive at a pretty customized look. Keep up the amazing work, Dave!
Excellent work Dave. You’re one of three RU-vidrs I consistently watch and the only one with presets I’ve ever continued to use. Even spending hundreds at a time and then opening them up and nothing works. I’ve wasted so much on crappy presets but these are consistently amazing. Would 100% recommend them to anyone! Can’t wait for more! Portra 800, maybe Cinestill 400, some Fuji maybe? Pro 400H?
I am beyond happy to have found you through the Life of Phys podcast! I can't tell you how many presets I have purchased over the years that just sit because i never can make them look good. I am not super technically proficient in LR. I know what I need to know lol. BUT just bought Portra and Vision 3 and they are literally so perfect for my workflow of hating to spend a ton of time on the computer!! Thank you for your work on these, I love them!
I’m so happy to hear that! Comments like this mean a ton to me, and my preset shop exists to bring efficiency to creatives like yourself! Welcome to the channel 💪🏼
Interesting video - love the channel - I've experimented with presets in the past but always felt there was something a bit lacking. 6 months ago I picked up a 1952 Leica IIIf and took the plunge back into film photography after being away from it for 30yrs. I absolutely love shooting with that camera - my wife tells me the shots look like I went back in time. There's an amazing amount of different looks you can get with different films - last weekend I shot Kodak Vision 3 motion picture film and also AGFA Copex Rapid which was the film that was used primarily for microfilm and document photography. The film bug bit me hard - so I picked up a medium format 1951 Voightlander 6x9 - the scans I get back are amazing. Anyways - shooting film opened up a whole new dimension for creativity for me. It slows down my workflow so much because I have to take so much more into consideration before I click the shutter - it's confining yet freeing at the same time. Sorry if I hijacked the thread.
Your presets are one of a kind I really enjoy them. But I recently changed to Capture One and I am very sad not being able to use the presets. Do you think in the future we will have a Capture One version? Side Note creating a Leica M9 preset can be nice or kodachrome gold.
