Fear is a factor A lot of parents that speak languages beyond English don't teach their kids to make sure their children can "fit in" and to keep them from being persecuted in some cases >literally

The *Ł* is similar to the LL in Welsh. A voiced L sound, like "HL-", similar to how SL- is made.

Interesting. Have to practice as I don't speak navajo or understand navajo. Will practice 4 next 30 days to see if I can learn to say the colors n navajo.

Black: Pōngul. Grey: Kagati. White: Pōni. Red: Yawā. Pink: Pāwo. Yellow/Gold: Pōnguhi. Orange: Haūni. Green: Hojī. Blue: Sekala. Purple: Pōnō. Brown: Kankal.

It's interesting to me the many words for blue and greens, makes me wonder if those are grouped as different shades of the same color (sort of like Japanese has teal as the main color and blues and greens are just kind of variations on that)

How do pronounce the Ł?

You place your tongue in the same position as the L sound and breathe out air, but don't vibrate your vocal cords. I've also heard it as trying to say the L sound and the Sh sound, or the L sound and the H sound at the same time.
