Colossal Cave Mountain Park in Vail, Arizona (just outside Tucson), is a natural wonder. We did a joint venture with @InTheMomentTravels We started the day with horseback riding through the desert and then a cave tour. It is a half-mile long guided walk takes about 40 minutes to complete. Our guide, Adam was amazing and super knowledgeable., You’ll learn about the Cave’s history, its legends (like train robbers and ghosts), and its unique geology. You will descend approximately six stories deep (363 stair steps) and see some amazing cave formations including stalactites, stalagmites, flowstone, box work, and helictites that were sculpted by millions of years of geological activity.
