I liked Colossus's debut in the 90s cartoon. Man got an honest job and tried to stop a bank robber (Juggernaut). Showed he was a good man and tough enough to fight Juggy. Plus he threw Wolverine twice lol.
The big-screen MCU is Disney property. Disney has been ^ss-r^ping accuracy of canon and history since their retelling of the Grimm Fairy Tales, Tall Tales, etc... all the way to historical Pocahontas's story among others. They will just wipe their butts with the actual stories and make up their own sh^t. If we are lucky, it will closely resemble a good version of the original.
I loved the 90 version and his X-Men Evolution and Wolverine depiction along with Deadpool's he has a body of steel but a big heart of gold and he won my heart along with other fans like me
great version but i suggest you to look for PRYDE OF X-MEN anime episode that it still on YT in case you haven't seen it that is how i will always remember and love our Metalman
His a powerhouse of emotion and a caring heart for those around him a quiet man and has learnt to be a strong man even though his a gentle soul his anger can become a prime force to his mutation his metal skin is a shell it is impenetrable but it can melt or be affected by mass of magnetism and though his human on the inside that's his weakness his mind all he has is his powers has no other powers he only has his metal form and strength? Colossus seems to have silver colour only it would be interesting if he could take on different form of metal or something similar like diamond skin or symbiotic or rare metals a area of his powers never explored?
He started somewhat closeted (or more accurately, he did not have a greeting card saying "Hey I'm here and I'm queer!", he was not advertising it lol), but then became open about it, when he started a relationship with Northstar, and he wasn't living in Russia anymore by that time, but in Professor X's mansion (which is not in Russia). It was a very good story moment actually, because he was very good friends with Nightcrawler, and Nightcrawler, of all people, was a bit homophobic.
You should do a list for lesser known teams/groups, Ex=The Twelve, Starjammers, Nextwave, Strange Academy, Technet, Mercs 4 Money,The Exiles, Savage Avengers, God Squad, New Agents of Atlas, exc.
0:25 That's not how you say Piotr, the Russian for Peter. That's how you say pewter, the metal, that's a different word that is spelled differently. It's like Americans go out of their way to mangle simple words all the time from refusing to pronounce anything the right way ever.
When you were a kid, then you think when you were an adult you'd run into a bunch of people who had amnesia? Then you think I mean it was like a big thing when you were a kid since it consistently happens and every form of entertainment.. you know, a lazy plot device..
I absolutly hate Days of Future Past for many reasons. The tired ''the bomb is defused at the last second'' trope. Wolverine being the one to save the day, AGAIN. And having to see Colossus and Iceman being brutaly killed by the sentinels twice. Also was the last time Daniel Cudmore played the character and he didn't got any development. Kity was his girlfriend in the comics for god sake. How hard it was to translate that in the movie.
NOPE... IN THE ORIGINAL COMICS OF DAY OF FUTURE PAST COMICS WAS THEIR BELOVED WIFE AND MOTHER OF THEIR DEAD SONS AND PIOTR DIES TO PROTECT SHE WITH THEIR OWN BODY BUT MARVEL NEVER ALLOW TO BE TOGETHER AND DESTROY THEIR WEEDING
If I wanted a badass team of X-Men colossus would be number one then gambit from x-force it would be ricktor from x-factor it would be multiple man my favorite student ever would be synch my favorite morlock is the one with the eye patch and out of that eye would be a optick blast
I was going to, but then also read the comments and the someone referred to the guy narrating having a small speech impediment, so I thought it would be lame to be criticizing any pronunciation... I did chuckled about the pewter though hehe =)
Big CGI Fight coming Up' great way to start, it did broken my fffficking Heart in 2 to see this Adorable Siberian Metal Teddy bear getting killed twice in that overrated shit Future of days past movie another reason of why i hated that film so much and for not been like it's timeless original script that Chris C gave us but anyway was so happy to see him back and nearly full force in the DP 1,2 movies and fighting the Juggercunt and all just like in the old days adore my X-MEN and COLOSSUS will always be one of my dearest Legacy iconic heroes of all, also cos he does resemble my older brother so much in term of physicality and No, am not Magik typing this XD just a Belmont warrior who ADORES his X-Gene people X-MEN WELCOME TO DIE!!!!!!!! thanks for the highlight video, Colossus is one of the most underrated Marvel comics true Heroes next to Cyclops/ Scott summers there may be an IRONMAN in the same universe but COLOSSUS will always be the ultimate METALMAN 🦾🤘🖤🤘🦾
Well, yes I guess, I'm pretty sure there is an alternate version out there where he is vilain-ish, but I can't recall which. Earth X maybe? I think there is another one though.
Wait..fwustwated ?! Ahh man I didn't realize that you suffer from a speech impediment..if it's not intentional for laughs or whatever then I'm impressed by the courage you've displayed by doing this sort of work. I wish you the best.
It really annoys me how in efforts to be "woke" these writers always try to make iconic characters a part of the alphabet community. If a characters origin never had that identity then don't change it. Rather create new characters for today's society that lean that way.
I know I'm going catch flack for this, but why when they try to reboot or reinvent a character in comics or tv & movies they have to change what they were originally. when the comics started way back when there were no mention of normal or gay but now it seems that is the only way they can make anything and I thinks it's idiotic that a fictional character has to be one way or the other just to satisfy some people. No offense to anybody but you are arguing about some ideas that some were created by teenagers going on 90 years ago Just a thought put all of this energy into solving world problems then bicker about the petty squabbles . Thank you
Why do you keep saying ‘Pewter’ as his name. It’s horribly, horribly wrong and painful to hear. Ironically pewter is a metal, but it’s very weak and malleable. This isn’t difficult, but like Colossus’, I guess you find his name hard to pronounce.
Dude you need to work on your pronunciation. I wanted to keep watching but had to stop because listening to you talk is really hard. It's "the" not "da" is just one example.
So they made him gay? To each his own I guess but why do that? Did Stan Lee have a say in that or was he out of the picture. Sounds like something disney would do.
It definitely happened when Stan Lee was alive, before Disney owned Marvel. And, him being gay is only in the ultimate's universe. His 616 counterpart is still straight. And things like this happen in real life. Sexuality isn't set in stone immutably, it's a fluid spectrum. And throughout life, some people, discover new things about themselves; they may not have had the strength to explore.
And besides the racial subtext to the X-Men/mutant struggle it can also be read as an allegory to sexuality. Their powers don't manifest until puberty, usually. Which is pretty similar to when queer people start to discover who they are.
