I would love to see a video about olive skin and undertones. As a muted greenish yellow person, I often feel more neutral and love rust and cobalt equally, and silver and gold equally as long as they aren't too extreme! Would be helpful to hear your take :)
Fellow olive here!😄👋🏼🫒🫒🫒 I was always told I was warm due to the oliveness in my skin. In my mind I figured I might be neutral, or a neutral leaning warm, because I didn’t really shine in warm colors… Then I booked a online session with these wonderful ladies and everything fell into place🤩! I am finally a happy olive now, finding my sparkle in the winter cool family😻 Imagaine my surprise when I thought I was warm and half my worderobe was yellow and brown🙈😅
Fellow olive, considering and online session too. I’m so confused especially because I tan in the summer and appear warmer. I found the same as above I have to go for colour that are medium everything. Not extremely cool or warm, not extremely light or dark either
Wooooow thats so interesting, also Olive here and I just found out I am a cool winter ???? And why this chocolate brown sweater in my closet looks AWFUL on me 😂 all thanks to these ladies just by watching their videos !!!!
I love all your videos! ❤️ If you're looking for ideas, it would be nice to eventually see a compilation of people from each subgroup, in a color that doesn't serve them, and then in something from their color palette.
I agree. It's important to be able to see what doesn't work as well as what does, and it's not easy to find good examples. I guess people don't want to go online looking bad!
This is the best colour analysis Chanel I have ever come across, I have had colour analysis a couple of time but have had nothing as detailed as your service ❤️ I would love to see a video of woman with grey hair in each season most videos available are of younger woman
I would love to see an online session demonstrated I think it would give me more confidence about the process ❤ just difficult to understand how it can work online 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I had my colours analysed online by Alessandra and I had a zoom meeting with Alessandra who guided me through the whole process and revealed my palette as soft autumn 😊🍁🍂 I would definitely recommend Alessandra and Giulia if you are considering having a colour analysis 👏
Please don’t think I’m a crazy stalker when I watch your videos many times after the first viewing! When I have trouble sleeping, instructional videos with pleasant voices are very helpful. 🙂
Wow....same. especially if u are a deep winter, we can perceive that some of the deep autumn colors work with us because they match our intensity but when you really take a second look and play with winter colors they feel so much more in harmony. Also, if you have a bit of yellow/green in your overtone its easy to mistake yourself as warm.
Very interesting hearing about the history. I was analysed 30 years ago and I am a light spring. I do still find shopping hard, as it can often be a choice between a colour or a style to suit my body shape😬 not helped by the fact I'm a larger size. I find I will bring in a lot of colour with jewellery and makeup.
Thankyou for teaching us about colour analysis. I'd love to see how you use the lipstick wallet some time. I'd also love to see some more videos like this one with both of you talking - maybe you could make videos talking about the history of colour analysis, commonly held beliefs about colour analysis and whether or not they're myths or facts (e.g. I've heard that blondes can't be winters), maybe even a video about how you met each other and started your business together. As always, I'm looking forward to seeing your future videos!
I have gone down a rabbit hole of learning all about how to style myself better over the past year. I was sick for many years and now that I am FINALLY feeling better and on a path to healing, I have really started to deep dive into how I want to present myself and finding my style in the body my illness gave me. I found my Kibbe style (Romantic I think) and I feel that what I am missing now is my colours. I have heard about colour analysis as a young girl but never knew it was something that people still did. I started seeing on social media people talking about their seasons, and tried the filters but never could fully see what colour I was. I went on a search for colour experts but being in Canada a lot were out of my price range in USD and needed to be in person which would be the service + travel and stay. I am so glad I stumbled on scrivspo video of you two doing her colours for now I have now binged your entire channel (It is now 4 am woops) and I used the money I was saving for my birthday to buy myself the online analysis as an early bday present!!!! I am so excited and cannot wait for the sun to come up so I can take my photos and send them off! (Probably after some sleep) I have learned so much from your vids and I cannot wait to see more! Thank you for making such fun and informative videos for us and continuing this art form
Connecting with people like you is the reason why we love our job. We are so glad that you chose us as a little part of your journey of updating your style. We can't wait to analyse your colours! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and feelings with us and all the community 💖
Hi ladies! Giulia does look like Princess Kate, as said by other viewers. Maybe one day, she could wear a tiara just for fun? Lol. Alessandra looks a bit like Nicole Kidman in some angles. Great vid. I hope you have more clients. Suggestion: analyze more POC of different ethnicities and grey-haired persons too. Btw, your vid/ clip was included in Safiya's vid, which now has 2M+ views. Hope your channel blows up. You could also try to make "shorts" or Tiktok to gain more followers (esp Gen Z & millenials). Cheers!
Your method is so much more scientific and legit. Got tired of seeing descriptions for cool tones as people who have light skin, light, eyes dark hair. Same as warm toned being anyone tanned and dark eyed. It's so much more complex than that. So amazing to see how the undertones are different than the overtones and what's visible to the naked eye.
Hello ladies, So excited to see a new video! It would be interesting to dive into the concept that all or most women believe that black truly suits them. Maybe a comparison of four women with different seasons wearing black. Just food for thought. Love you both❤️
@@colouranalysis_studio hi. Video suggestion: if you're not colour analysing people, you can also do informational vids similar to this one. Aside from black or dark colors, maybe you can make a video on which neutrals fit each season. If it will be a long vid, maybe split it into two: cool and warm seasons. It may take more effort & editing, but it may gain you more views/ followers too. Cheers!
Lipsticks are so indicative. For me, i truly realized i am warm toned when i tried out some pink/cool red lipsticks and found it made me look like i'd eaten a popsickle! 😅 I can only do brown/rust/true reds.
Please do a video on olive skin with yellow undertones. I had my color done many years ago and was told I was a winter but my skin is very warm therefore I am not a winter. Love your videos!!
This is so well-explained! I especially enjoyed the clarification about why the seasons match to certain colors. Really enjoyed this informational color analysis video, thank you! 😊
I love that you lead with Temperature and Insensity, it seems far more sensible, accurate and inclusive that analysis that rate dark vs light as the most important thing ❤
Hi Irit, thank you so much for booking an online colour analysis session with us! It was great to analyse you. We hope you'll embrace your beautiful palette, Spring Warm 🌼
I got to know about your channel yesterday and since then I have binge watched all your videos (subscribed too😉). Trust me you guys are the best in what you are doing. Your videos are giving me so much insight on the colour analysis and I'm actually getting better in recognizing the colors.
I would love to visit you in person but am about 1200 KM north of Melbourne. If I am ever nearby, I am definitely going to book in as this is something I would prefer to do in person rather than virtually. Congrats on your rapidly growing audience!
I have been absolutely loving your videos and am now completely obsessed with colour analysis! I own an independent eyewear boutique in Scotland and have taken a course in eyewear styling where I learned about colours to suit different colour types by just looking at their overall look combining their hair, skin and eye colour to decide if they're light, cool, warm, deep, clear or soft. I then suggest complementary colours to harmonise with all of the above. This works well, but I love how much more in depth this process is and think it would be a great additional to my current services. Can I ask who you did your colour analysis training with? I'm really looking forward to seeing more amazing content from you ladies, both on here and on Instagram, and where you channel goes in the future!
i love colour analysis! i’ve been practicing my skills on my friends and family - and while i feel like i can do it pretty well on others i struggle with myself! i’m so close to neutral that it’s hard to see any difference. i’ve asked friends but they all say idk you suit both! i’ll have to save up and see you guys next time i’m in melbourne ☺️
Yes, doing a self analysis is always very very difficult! Even us were both analysed by someone else 🥲 we will be waiting for you here or you can consider an online session too, it works in the same way with the same accuracy 🌈
Really happy I found your channel! Love your videos, can't wait to see more :) I've seen tons of color analysis videos and yours are definitely the best 💗✨
Ooooooo I love this so much. SO intriguing! I really want to get my colours done, and then learn how to do it on others! How fun! Shame I'm in the UK x
I only learned about color analysis from your videos and while youtube recommended me some other channels since then, yours is clearly the best. You are doing a great job. That said, I wonder how far our preferences or lack of taste can influence us regarding color analysis. Like in case of you analyzing people with a warm undertone, while I 100% agree with your statements, I actually like the effect of the skin looking more pale/grey by using cool colors, so some of them look really nice to me despite being colors to be avoided.
Our taste and our personality play a very very important role when we choose colours to wear. We look for the chromatic objective match but we have to consider that matches our personality too. It would be interesting a video in regards 🥲
Thank you for the video and explanation! I am interested in a video about olive skin tones and how they interact with seasonal analysis based on cool and warm.
Your videos are great♥It would also be really interesting and useful to see a video where you show an online color analysis session as well. I'm considering one since I live in Europe, but I'm a bit hesitant as I don't know how this will work. Is this something you could consider doing? I hope so, and I guess this will be of interest for other people as well (potential customers)😊
Excellent explanation of colour analysis, ladies. I have never seen the lipstick wallet before in any other videos. What an awesome tool. May I ask how long, in total time, it takes to complete a colour analysis? Thank you 💖
I would love to see a video on how to best do this for yourself without a color expert, many of us just don't have extra funds or if we do, not as much as would be needed.
Hi. I suggest to watch lots of color analysis/ draping vids to train your eyes. Then drape yourself (w/o makeup) in these colors: black vs brown, pure white vs off-white/ ecru, fuschia vs orange. This is to know if you're cool vs warm. If black etc suits you = cool, otherwise = warm. If you don't have the clothes, you can try to go to a Goodwill or discount store. Then once you know your undertone (warm vs cool), then you can determine whether bright vs muted colors suit you. Drape yourself in 2 versions of a color, e.g bright orange vs rust, bright leaf green vs moss green, etc. Good luck!
I would love to see someone blond who is a summer. I am blonde with blue/green eyes, with pinkish pale skin definitely cool undertone, when i take tests i have gotten that i am light or cool summer. I would love to see more tips for summer colors and what color to wear. I am subscribing and looking forward to more videos ❤😄
I have always been interested in colour theory and when I discovered your channel I was thrilled! Your content is fantastic. I am really inspired to learn more and maybe try to analyse friends and family of mine. Unfourtunately there are no colour analysis tools available to buy Sweden, where I live. At least not to my knowledge, which is based on an intense hour of google searching. I have been colour analysed myself by a stylist based in here in Sweden and was typed a soft autumn. I would be curious to see if you would agree. Maybe I will book that online analysis with you guys.
Hello from Litchfield Park, Arizona, USA! Not sure how I found your channel, but I love you both and subscribed immediately. Perhaps you will consider doing a video on seasons as they appear with gray hair. I have a medium olive complexion and while I had dark brown/black hair in my youth, I have grayed salt and pepper. Is it possible that my intensity could change 😊within my season?
Hi Lisa, thank you so much for watching and commenting. Your questions are very interesting and we are planning to answer with dedicated videos on this channel. Please stay tuned! 🌈 In the meantime, yes we tend to lose a touch of intensity with time!
Would you show us how these lipstick cards works? I'm Soft Summer and I have some problems finding the right red lipstick for my skin so, it would be helpful! Great videos! 💜
I have a question regarding hair-colour. Once someones season is determined, can the colours of that season be also applied on hair? For instance, could a brunette autumn type dye his/her hair in an autumn red? Thank you for your Videos! Can't wait to see more. 😍
I like your videos so much and your both personalities are so warming ☺️ would love to have a coulour analysis by you in present ! Unfortunately im from germany 😢
I liked seeing the warm toned woman wearing colours from her palette. It would be nice to see it for the cool toned woman as well. Until now she has been wearing only black and white and no colour (For the analyzing videos I get it because it keeps the surrounding neutral and the focus on the client :) ) I also would find it interesting if you could show some side by side comparisons with actual clothing and styling (like "before/after" or "wrong/right"). Since you are opposite seasonal types you could for example show what happens when you swapped shirts :D
I am interested in learning how gray hair affects a person's color palate. I have stopped coloring and have let my silver happen and I have a lot around my face. I have noticed some colors now look better and some not so much.
Hello ladies 🤗 You are so professional! My huge respect. However, i have a suggestion: Whenever you show the subgroups-wheel could you somehow mark which ones have been excluded and which ones you are going to follow? That would be helpfu to me. Grazie ❤
I want to get my colours done by these ladies, but I am in Canada. I am therefore considering doing the online version, but am afraid that the results won't be accurate. Has anybody done this with them and had good results? Also, I am wondering if by doing this online, I would also get the makeup recommendations, my palette colours, etc.?
I love your videos so far! All very entertaining. I do have a question about the exact meaning of "yellow-based" and "blue-based." So when I work with colour, I typically think of hue in terms of 360 degrees: red is 0, yellow is 60, green is 120, etc. However, I don't think that this works in terms of colour analysis when deciding whether a colour is yellow- or blue-based. So I guess my question is this: What does it mean for a colour to be yellow- or blue-based and how can we objectively measure it?
I’m very interested in booking online since I’m in America. I love your videos! Once you receive payment and correct pictures how long does it typically take to receive a report? Also, for the makeup aspect what Is Included In that report?
We offer two types of online service. With a standard sessione you will receive a detailed report of your season (which also include makeup) with a deluxe session you will have the benefits of 1hour zoom meeting where we go through the analysis together and you can also ask questions and see the process 🌈 it normally takes 7 working days. visit our website for more info www.colouranalysis.au
Ciao!!! subbed a few days ago! I really like the harmony of colours that you give, I would love to know why you don't have a neutral, I have been told that my skin is neutral because silver and gold look good on me (I prefer gold anyway) also, why can I almost immediately tell other peoples colour pretty accurately but I struggle to find my own season and subgroup?! am I in the wrong light? and another question I have is my face is a different colour to the rest of my body, so how would a swimsuit even work if my belly is vampire white but my face is a tiny bit more tan (I want to get a session but as a student I don't have the money...)
Thanks for your comment ♥️ doing a self analysis is always very difficult, you really need someone to guide you with a really objective opinion. In colour Analysis we really want to emphasise our face. While some people have a very evident undertone others have it less visible. The fact that you wear silver and gold is a very big hint 🌈
hey, i have a question that bothered me lately. if gold is warm and black is supposedly cool, then why do black-gold outfits look amazing together? ofc silver works with black too, not denying it, but gold also works great with black. not only in outfits, but lets say furniture. what is your view on that as color specialists?
The fact that two colours don't share the same undertone doesn't mean that they can't work together. Of course combining colours with different undertones is harder, so you need a bit of practice or you can just rely on timeless combinations such as black + gold. We hope this helps!
Hello! I like your videos a lot! Thank you for such interesing content that you share with us. If we say about online sessions how do you deal with difference of displays? For instance iPhones have yellowish shade of photos and yellowish pictures on the screen as well, Mackbook has little bit red shade of pictures on the screen. And diferrent types of computer displays have diferrent brightness and saturation. How do you deal with it?
Love your channel! I was wondering if your season could change during the year? I'm pretty sure that I'm an autumn (hazel eyes, brown hair, yellow undertone), but I get very pale skin in the winter and bronze easily in the summer. I feel like I can handle some colours better in summer than in winter. Is this correct?
In theory, your undertone never changes however your overtone shade can change with the seasons due to sun or lack thereof. So you might be able to play with the subgroups within your color family or even play with spring colors which are also warm. However I would steer clear from any cool seasons (winter, summer) as they will likely not be harmonious with your undertone.
