Su disco homónimo de 1985 sigue siendo un banco de pruebas con collages sonoros, primitivos sampleados (aunque entonces sonaban como el no va más), cajas de ritmos, experimentación,... pero también aparece una marcada sensibilidad pop y sobre todo soul, gracias a una maravillosa vocalista llamada Lorita Grahame, que destaca en canciones como Arena II (versión larga del tema 'Arena' aparecida en las bonus tracks de la 'casette').

"Manic" - " Just give `em whiskey" and this... All 3 complete different styles and my outstanding favorites. Arena is to this day a very emotional track to me. Love it.

Thank you for posting this beautiful song. I dug out my Colourbox CDs and vinyl last year after such a long time (look out for the just released box set!!!). This version is my favorite, even more so than the regular LP version. Lorita's heartbreaking vocal and the whole arrangement, just gorgeous and so powerful. This music represented the proverbial "pearls before swine" when offered to American audiences. But they say 50% of people are "below average". I wonder: do they know? Still fresh after all these years. Thank you for posting.

got to say I was impressed with the whole album back in 87 when my girlfriend, who was 16 years younger than me, brought it to play in my car on our early courting days. Very memorable songs indeed!!!

if you follow on wiki they became m.a.r.r.s. who produced hits like pump up the volume ive not really searched any further about lorita even though i think her voice is just classic

I don't think it's a cover. It was on their album released August 1985. This is an updated version. Not sure which one I prefer - both incredible songs.
