Coloured Pencils - when things go wrong

I've re-uploaded the video file as people were having issues hearing it. The sound for me is loud.
Sometimes things go wrong with coloured pencil and it's worth having a plan in place before jumping in and trying to correct it
I find the times when I make mistakes are usually a great learning opportunity, so try not to get down about them, but learn from them.

Thank you for this Bonnie. I do this all the time. I wonder how in the world did I get lost? Or how did I miss this? I need to learn about measuring and put it into practice. This helps a lot.

I would definitely panic first...but walk away and think about what I should do. Intrigued to see you didnt use any tape to remove any of the pigment.

There are so many ways to do things - with this it was easier to just work over what I’d done 😊

Dear Bonnie, Iove your videos, they help me a lot and I am so grateful that you share these tips and techniques with us! You are amazing and I admire your talent an how you improve all the time. Please, can you do a video where you show how you sketch up the dogs from the photos-? How do you keep proportions, how do you put the direction of the fur, etc.. I find it hard to make this step and I would love to see t from a professional artist like you are. Thank you x

What pencil do you use to make the white marks because I am doing a pet portrait of a dog that has little gray hair around his snout and I cannot find a pencil that will show up on top of the black/brown fur underneath. Thank you!

I use prismacolors for the portrait and I bought a carandach luminence white and it doesn't show up like I hoped it would so I'm at a loss.

It’s a Caran D’Ache museum aquarell. If you’re using smooth paper you will struggle to get white to show up over the dark areas unfortunately
