This colour has a mahogany in it (note the numbers on the box. The first number is 4, which is the shade level. In this case, the shade level 4 is dark brown. The other two numbers 1 and 5 are secondary tones. 1 is ash and 5 is mahogany). Mahogany is a brownish red colour.
Thankyou so much for this!ive got the same dye, haven’t used it but red really isn’t for me(my skin has mostly red tones)so you just saved me ruining my hair 😘,looks beautiful on you though x
Didn't they used to call this "Soft Mahogany Dark Brown"? By Garnier calling it "Iced Chocolate" now, that is misleading. It sounds like a purely "ash" toned brown. This video(although 4 years old), helped me in deciding AGAINST this color! I don't want red. Thank you! I've tried the 4.12 Dark Iridescent Brown and that is a little bit purple(which is nice).
i'm confused. I use this colour all the time but your hair is darker than the iced chocolate. you would need to lighten it a bit first to get the true colour. even says on the box if your hair is that dark it won't be the same.
True that. If you already have red hair, then this colour, even though it only looks dark brown on the box, your hair will still have hints of red in it, as red is a difficult hair colour to get rid of.
