This little gem is 96 years old! It's still shooting straight and going strong. Purchased by my great-grandfather many years ago, this little ruby has spanned over four generations in my family, and will hopefully see a fifth and sixth!
I just inherited a 1931 colt vest pocket pristine in the box. It is as close to new old stock you can get for a 92 year old gun. I never knew of these and I absolutely love it.
Holy cow what a coincidence. I came here to watch the video on the Colt as I just acquired a 1908. Also, I’m a 3rd generation employee for CSX. Working towards 19 years as a locomotive engineer. I have never seen a CSX Case knife. L&N, but never CSX. Very cool pieces you have there. Watching this in 2022.
Ian Fleming creator of James Bond, had one the serial number is listed in his estate. Issued to him in WWII . Listed as a Browning so it could have been a FN manufactured gun, same as Colt .
The Colt 1908 Vest Pocket is a direct copy of John Browning's FN M1905 .25 ACP pistol. I'm told that the parts are interchangeable. Nice vintage pistol.
In regard to a holster for this 1908 , Bianchi did manufacture one that fits like a glove , The model number is 18 A ,believe it or not , this is an all leather thumb break that will clip on a belt . And it holds the gun secure . I have had mine since the 80’s . I gave 65.oo for mine , it’s about 50% ,No rust or pits. I found the holster at a gun show , I offered the guy 5.00 for it , He was selling . I think by looking at this holster it was probably made for a Bauer 25, according to the Colt serial number look up . It was made in 1922 , I kinda wish it could talk .
It was given to me by a family member. I wish I could tell you the make and model, but there are precisely zero markings and/or tags on the holster. Sorry.
