Outstanding Colt 1911 collection! I have a Series 70 Government Model reproduction that I bought brand new in 2015. One of my favorites for sure. My dad also has a Series 70 Gold Cup from the late 70’s or early 80’s that he bought from a family member a few years ago that is believed to have never been fired. Can’t beat a nice Colt 1911. 👍
I came from Stratford, Connecticut and I owned Colt M-1911 with US Army proof, Colt Government Model Series 70 - Commercial and Remington M-1911A-1 RIF Rebuild. I was told many time by my close friend to have these guns destroyed but I never give them up. I moved to MO and still shot them every week with original bullet made by Frankfort Arsenal.
Nice collection. I am up to 7 colt 1911s ranging from .38 super to 9mm and 45 acp. So far I have a 1951 .38 super fat barrel, a 1972 .45acp commander satin steel, a 1950 9mm LW commander, an 80s series factory nickel plated 45acp gold cup, an 80s series target match .38 super gold cup, a 70s series .45acp government, and an 80s series .45acp gold cup. However, my first 1911 was a Rock Island .38 super nickel plated. I still need a couple of 1911s to add and maybe some Kimber ultra carry for CCW.
I know this is an old video, but I appreciate you going with the spur hammer on most of your 1911. I believe that’s the way to go. Any idea of where I could get a colt or high quality spur hammer now a days ?
I have the anniversary model and shoot it. You really should shoot those, you're missing out. Gotta add a combat elite and I'd say you got your colt 1911s covered.
My Colt's are half and half. I shoot 1 of my Gold Cups and the other 1 is worth 8 times what I payed for it. If you want a beautiful gun that you will be sure to make money on ABC
Hey nice collection. The colt rail gun with the green grips must be custom. I can't seem to find that combo with a black lower and SS upper. Can anyone give me more info on that particular pistol.
I have a Colt New Agent that I melted the front edge of the slide because it kept chewing up my Holsters.it was so sharp, it looked like someone had taken a government model and chopped it with a chopsaw. It was my daily Carrie for a long time. But now every time I look at it I feel like I destroyed all of the resale value. Please help me feel better about what I feel in my gut now was a rookie gunsmith mistake.
I bought the 1911c”classic”. It terrible laser engraving. When I talked to customer service they said their was nothing they can do since I looked at it in the store when it had a gallon of oil on it. I’m not happy with Colt. They can go screw themselves I am a dissatisfied customer if you can’t tell. I guess I’ll buy anything else from now on.
Don't give up on Colt. Buy vintage 1911 and avoid new manufacture. I buy vintage S&W revolvers. They are all pre lock models and many are low dash numbers.
