I had one of these radio's nice bit of kit back in mid 80's had some good reports around the world just using the standard 10w then a few yrs later picked up a Ham International Jumbo
This was my very first multi block radio and also the first radio I used to talk skip with over the pond to Columbus Ohio on AM using rig power on a mobile antenna.. I liked it simply because of the colour change in the signal meter.
Hi Paul I have just upgraded my Tiny SA to v1.3429 the same version as yours and the mod frequency is now the same as yours, need to use .95KHz. Looks like a version bug, it was ok before the F/W upgrade. Cheers Chris
not found the download link for the manual did you forget to add this, i have the am/fm version, does about 8 1/2 watts, or if you can point me to where you got the manual ill go download it, thank you
I used a 16 MHz crystal many moons ago it will give you most of the uk40 but due to the Alpha skips and the jumping around you’ll loose some channels I would pull the high band crystal down on a switch and you’ll get 1-26 less channel 5 that you can use But as it has no FM mode on this version I doubt this modification would be necessary The paint is original too
Just 4 years to warm up? That must have been one of Maplins more premium irons then! Good meters them Welz same as the Revex meters i have a few of them
Had one of these when i was a kid, Bought it off a guy whos handle was Sexy Rexy. Believe me he was far from sexy and he later changed his handle to pizza man which suited him much better. Mine had fm and had been modded for the UK40
