Columbia are one of the best brands like North Face mine arrived today here in Sydney Australia put it on and felt amazing never go past Columbia an Insurance for yrs.

Good review. My biggest gripe with soft shells is that I sweat too much when I’m walking in. I had a cheaper midway Softshell that I’ve worn here and there and had that issue, it’s also on the heavy side for packing. More recently I bought the first lite catalyst soft shell, it does what a softshell is sopose to do but it breathes very well, I have the pants too. Cut on the jacket is nice good length in the arms for a taller fellow like me. I went for an xl to layer over the fl uncompedrea in colder weather. I never ever spend full price on any fl gear they always have good sales just have to be patient. Glad the Columbia is working well for you

Thanks for the review How does it perform under light snow ? Also, with some inner layers does it give good insulation for warmth?

Columbia once made the best jackets in the world, they still make very good jackets, but they're not the best jackets anymore, it's way below other new brands.
