I have no clue how to do it on mac, but if you're on Windows just plug your mic in, go to sound settings, input, select your mic if its there and you're about done, select the name of your mic in whatever you're doing whether it's talking on discord, roblox, or making a video. but I suggest just searching up how to do it cause it's easier that way
