1- After watching this video you can take the text in one or more cells, and split it into multiple cells using the Convert Text to Columns Wizard in Microsoft Excel.
2- And you can combine data from multiple cells into a single cell using the CONCAT function.
What Is Concatenate?
The word concatenate is just another way of saying "to combine" or "to join together". The CONCATENATE function allows you to combine text from different cells into one cell. In our example, we can use it to combine the text in column A and column B to create a combined name in a new column.
Use CONCATENATE, one of the text functions, to join two or more text strings into one string. Important: In Excel Mobile, and Excel for the web, this function has been replaced with the CONCAT function.
Example!
In formal language theory and computer programming, string concatenation is the operation of joining character strings end-to-end. For example, the concatenation of "snow" and "ball" is "snowball".
Where is concat formula in Excel?
It is categorized under Text functions and is available in Excel for Microsoft 365, Excel 2021, Excel 2019, and Excel for the web. The syntax is as simple as this: CONCAT(text1, [text2],…) Where text1 (required) and text2 (optional) are the strings to be joined.
Concatenate Function
=Concatenate(text1,"",text2)
