Is there a video where he explains the partnership with manscaped? I mean this is some kind of a recurring joke, no? Nothing against our bud here, but he doesn't seem predestined for shaving adds? Or is the joke, that he doesn't grow that much? What am I missing? This tickles my ocd x)
Next up: Every single Zelda game randomizer. Imagine you have to play 10 minutes of Ocarina of time. Get an item for Wind Waker. Play Windwaker. Open said item. Go to Link Between worlds. Open said area there to get another item from Wind Waker. Takes you to Link to the Past. Open that to get a key in Link's Awakening. Just to get a boss key in Ocarina of time so you can fight the boss you were trying to fight about 4 hours ago.
It would be immensely difficult to implement, but if anyone does it, I'd be so happy with them. Imagine this also includes remakes and the collector's edition. And also some tloz games you wouldn't even expect LoL.
sphere 0 (aka the locations you can reach without items) would be immense though Sphere 0 for windwaker is already immense on it's own but to add other games in the mix? unless you start in a random game and need to find and unlock the doors to the other games...
this idea is both ridiculous and amazing. I'd love to see the 50 hour run tho. imagine getting close to the end and running out of checks only to find out that the key chest everyone forgets in water temple has your last instrument for the Wind Fish KEKW
26:26 That food in Anju's hand was meant to be for her mother, but her mother refused to eat any of the food as she doesn't like Anju's cooking. that's why she's upset. Linkus really should at some point play through Majora's Mask proper and take a look at a lot of the finer details this game offers~
I play ocarina of time 3d and since I can't remember names I didn't notice that the tortus granny is actually Anju's grandma even though it literally says so.
@@zixvirzjghamn737 Yeah it's subtle but it's there in Majora's Mask. Granny does mistake you for tortus, and during the keaton quiz keaton asks what is anju's father's name, and it's tortus. That's how I pieced it together. Maybe anju says it directly idk, I didn't pay that much attention to the text. I just mainly remember because I play mm randos for fun.
Now if only it did something unique instead of just being the exact same thing, down to items being unique to each 'world.' I don't see the point of mashing OoT and MM together if you're not gonna let us do stuff like using MM's masks in OoT.
@@tech6hutch i believe that is actually planned in the future. stuff like transformations in OoT probably won't be possible, or at least not for awhile, but items that are in both games would be usable in both if you just find 1.
It would be so cool if you could use mm items in OoT and vice versa. I understand that would be so complicated to actually build but it would be amazing. Imagine being able to transform into Goron link in hyrule field or complete the water temple with the Zora mask. Or fight ganon with fierce deity.
Well at least it would be cool to get the corrispondent similiar items like hookshot, bow etc, so you get 2 items in the same chest pretty much, shouldn't be that complicated i think...
@@UnrebornMortuus Definitely doable, if logic can get us this far it can go that step further. Also definitely painful though, as soon as a check opens something up you have to switch games again every time.
I wish items that exist in both games were shared. At least "common" stuff like sticks and nuts and rupees, if not stuff like the fire arrows. It really feels like two games stapled together rather then one game made from two.
At most, it'd be impressive to see games on the same 'engine' or console mashed up. A TP/WW mash would be WILD, but more practically I'd sooner expect a Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks mash. This one, with Ocarina/Majora, is AWESOME.
haven't watched linkus in a little bit, but now I'm hyped since I didn't know this run existed, time to spend my next few days watching the full playthrough of this on the twitch vods.
I kinda wish this rando had items that spanned both games, I think that would be kinda cool. Even if it was just unlocking a similar item in both games. If someone put a lot of work into a mod that allows you to use MM items in OoT and vice versa, that would be even cooler.
45:54 If you press A during these scenes you can listen in on the conversation. If you'd read the dialogue during that interaction, you'd realise the situation is actually much worse. You take HIS room, that he booked, by taking advantage of his speech impediment. THAT'S why he's sat out in the rain overnight (and probably dies, knowing this game).
Nice playthrough of the randomizer, I’ve played this randomizer before and it was really fun. It’s always important to get Ocarina of Time and Song of Time for Majoras Mask at the beginning to make actual progress in Majoras Mask
I didnt realize this was just released, im itching for part 2!!!! this was such a cool concept and if i remembered the games more i'd definitely try this out.
50:40, in the chat: "Which Master Sword is this?" It's the one from the game that has the Master Sword in it. It's not Link to the Past, I'll tell you that
Huckleberry pancakes. 1 3/4 cups all purpose white flour 4 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cups of buttermilk 5 tablespoon butter, melted 2 large eggs 1/2 cup Huckleberries In medium bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, set aside. In small bowl combine buttermilk, butter and eggs. Add buttermilk mixture to the flour mixture, combine until mixed do not over mix (I prefer to use a whisk it does the best job). Fry at 400 degrees. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter on the griddle and sprinkle with the huckleberries. Cook on first side about 3 minutes until bubbles appear along the edge of the pancake. Flip and cook for 2 minutes more and golden brown. Serve with a big pat of butter, and some pure maple syrup ( get the real stuff it is worth it).
linkus, just wait till they make a combo randomizer of the first 4 3d zelda games. from ocarina of time through to twilight princess. lmao in all seriousness, im hoping on wind waker multiworld soon! Its in progress and almost done, but the progress is very gradual as the dev is fairly busy outside of said project. those will make for pretty big randos for sure
I feel like the inter-game warp zones should really be one of the wrong turns in the lost woods as child link in OOT and the path Link first enters the clocktower basement through coming from the lost woods in MM. That would make it that much more immersive imo.
@@sebamoreno2986 you could maybe add another ocarina song warp point on each map that brings you straight into the other game. In terms of walking distance, the lost woods are surprisingly well connected through additional entrances via the alcove next to the entrance of Zoras Domain (given you have the zora scale, which in turn provides straight access to lake Hylia from there) and the passage from the Goron village.
By the way, here's a little tip for the Observatory in Majora's Mask randomizers, whenever the moon tear is randomized, you can check what item it is that's in display For example, if the moon tear was randomized to be the Goron Mask, then the mask will appear in the display.
Linkus: "Why did you say you can't do this cave yet but I can use the feathers?" Because in vanilla, that cave is where the Lens of Truth is and you don't have it before then, so the owl gives you feathers to show you where the invisible platforms are. DUH! ;p
He said during the stream that he would upload the VODS onto RU-vid eventually. It took him like 4 or 5 days to beat it so there's a lot of VODS to look forward to.
if theres a setting to make it so you start with ocarina and song of time in Majoras Mask, I think it might make seeds more interesting because it doesnt force the game to bottleneck a lot of checks into OoT.
I noticed that linkus really likes to repeat every thing he says 3 times over like he’s a Rick and morty character. “Holy shit guys that’s so pog I just got the fart poop, like fart poop this early??? Wtff?? Getting a fart poop now is so lucky!”
This is awesome! Makes me wonder, would it be possible to do this with WW and TP since they technically run on the same engine? Or are they just too different?
Your videos are great! One tip, for the Dugongos cavern bombable wall with the ladder (8:18), you should be able to throw the bomb and have it land behind the ladder. At least on the N64 version this works everytime!
Ah... It's a great video, i just got my hopes up a little bit when I saw the title. I was expecting some modding mastermind to blend the two games together, one ui and one menu. I expected the randomized portion meant that you would randomly be thrown in random parts of each game through each loading zone. I was most excited about seeing Majora's mask items used in ocarina, and vice versa. Again, great video, awesome idea. I just got my hopes up to unreasonable standards. I can't blame anyone but myself.
Link: (Finds Zelda's Letter) YEEESSSSS Zelda: IMPA MY LETTER Impa: Dont Worry We'll Be Safe From Ganondorf Zelda: If Link Reads It He'll Know Impa: Ok Lets Go Away From Here Zelda: (Nods) Ok Impa
As someone who as a kid thought majoras mask was a part of ocarina of time when i first saw it at my friends place i can agree with this. Its just dlc. It always has been.
I wouldn't exactly say this is the *first* Zelda multiworld randomizer - there's been Archipelago, there's been SMZ3 (which is also part of Archipelago), and there's been Z1M1.
After the Super Metroid Link to the Past Randomizer, I was wondering when two games would be combined, and this is the perfect combination - both of the N64 Zelda titles. ^_^
For anyone who doesn't remember what the Stone Mask does: As long as you have it equipped, normal enemies won't aggro on you/will ignore you. Bosses still notice you though Its almost mandatory to clear the Pirates Hideout in MM
I felt something in me that knew linkus would've gotten the Fierce Deitys mask in the first 10 minutes. His luck is just that good sometimes. And then you have the links awakening randomizer where he didn't get a sword till 3 AND A HALF HOURS INTO THE RUN.
Is it possible to cross the games over where items are applicable? For example, since both games use Fire, Ice, and Light arrows, you only need to find one for both games rather than one for each game? Heart Pieces, rupees, bombs, etc. seem like they should be able to be used in both worlds.
I dont know if it works in the mod, but in the base game of oot, if you get the song of time (likely usuibg cheats since theres no other way to do it) you dont need the spiritual stones to open the door of time. It works in the N64 ver and 3DS
It’s funny seeing ppl who committed their playtime into either OoT or MM swap games because they look the same but are completely different games mechanically (and obviously story wise) even speed running glitches that act the same way and have same outcome have completely different timing windows
