Yes but tweek is not really thinking about that, he goes off of muscle memory and looking at his opponents mistakes, he went for the confirm just because it was muscle memory

It honestly looked like he was a little to high for the fast fall. He might not have been able to make it in time for the up smash charge. Just my guess. Not to mention he probably was looking to react to pressure his shield with an aerial in case it got blocked.

Maybe he didn’t do it because of the reaction time you have to see if the banana hit him or not. Maybe in this situation he couldn’t react and preferred to hit a D-tilt confirm instead of a commital up smash

Fun fact: most techs are intentional in the game, you can see for example the wall tech in the game notes and this one as well, the extra 2 seconds are for baiting enemies

I feel like this one is pretty obviously intentional, some of are pretty surprising to find out are intentional though. I remember finding out a shocking amount of melee tech was left in intentionally while watching a character analysis video like a year ago.
