Well you two really do get to some lovely places! Its videos like this that allow those of us who wont ever get the chance, to see such wondeful parts of the world. Cheers Cheryl 🙂
You have really gone to the end of the world for us. This is a fabulous video and showed me all the things I would wish to do if visiting the Faroe Islands. Thank you.
Wow! Didn’t really know much about these islands. Thanks for the great video. Looking forward to seeing more! Is there any language barrier that you had to deal with? Is there any sort of internet service? And, how was it driving on the right side? 😂What sort of beer did you have at the beginning of the video? That place looked very interesting! 🍺
Hi Scott, we had no issues with the language, apart from pronouncing places! The locals are very friendly and speak good English. There is a perfect fast internet service throughout the islands and a phone data service so no issues. We drive on the other side of the road often and with no traffic it was easy and relaxed. Not sure what the craft beer was, some sort of Blonde. Not a fan of darker beers. Do you think this might be on your list of places to visit?
Hello, I just want to thank you for your videos about Faroe Islands, they are very informative and helpful and they helped my husband and I plan our visit at the end of September. We had a fantastic time and the information you provide helped us organise our stay and visit different areas without any stress or waste of time. Thank youuuuu 😊
What a stunning group of islands that we seldom get the pleasure of seeing . You guys did yourselves proud! The scenery, the villages and those mountains were so different to were eye catching. Thank you so much.
Hi Scott! No issues at all, the locals are very friendly and speak good English. There is a full fast internet service all over the islands, and a phone data service so no issues at all. Oh we drive on the other side all the time and with no traffic it was just wonderful and relaxed. I am not sure what beer it was some sort of Blonde, not a fan of darker beers. Do you think it might be a place you would visit?
Bewitching Islands full of beauty 😍 wonderment & Pleasant views 👌😊 while your video is perfectly professional , must appreciate your efforts in editing & exhibiting it.. coastal area views are just breathtaking, caves & birds on it 😀just amazing.. thanks for the boat ride for I would definitely never go for such a adventure as I get aqua phobia seeing large scale of water 💧but absolutely enjoyed watching it.. the mountain peak views are stunning ❤ .. I can imagine how wonderful it is to walk & travel on those beautiful grounds while i could so much seeing on video.. thanks for sharing 👍😊 with warm wishes ❤
I am not a fan of going on small boats like that but after we got going, and the stunning views engrossed us, you kind of forget it! The time just flew by. Quite an experience.
I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video!🙏🙏Both of you are the best travellers and allowing me to see so beautiful and lovely Faroe Islands: the villages, the houses, the rocks, the museum, the old ruines of cathedra!!!👍👍👏👏 Loved all them!!!!Neusa Helena🙋🏻♀️💞🇧🇷 I' just waiting for the next videos!!!
Really special, possibly our favourite of your brilliant travelogues. What a spellbinding place. The boat ride was thrilling. Thank you for making and sharing, it is appreciated.
Ah thank you, so pleased you enjoyed it so much. We had an incredible journey and will go back someday. Very different to anywhere we have been to before and just loved the scenery, the way of life and everything! Speaking of it now makes me want to book now! 😊
With all the thermal gear on the only thing cold was our hands as we had to hold the camera and be able to press the buttons! Otherwise we were quite toasty!
The Faroe Islanda r breathtakingly stunning! And that doesn’t even seem to describe it enough! Every single walk, & turn was more stunning beauty for my eyes! I truly loved seeing how pristine the land was because of the lack of tons of ppl changing it to fit their needs & desires! It seemed unthinkable when u stated they didn’t even get electricity until the 1970’s but I think it’s all part of what has maintained its charm. The sheep were numerous & lambs just adorable 🥰! The boat y’all went on was by far my favorite! I think I spotted a few Guillemot (the ones w/ the black head). I absolutely cannot wait to see Part 2! I truly appreciate u both sharing ur journeys w/ us. They mean the world to m. I’m disabled & travel is too difficult so I “travel” vicariously through y’all. Thank u from the bottom of my heart. Take care & much love to u both. 😉🥰
As glad we can take you along virtually. 😊The boat trip was probably our favourite part of that region. Never done anything like it before and was just blown away by what we saw. Yes I think they were Guillemots.
Sheep grazing on the roof must be quite unique! Looking forward to your next program. Envy your traveling, but at least we can all share in your vistas. Thank you both so much !
Certainly a wild looking place. No wonder the Vikings preferred to spend their hols in Britain and France! 😉 Sound quality a bit lower than normal there? Or is my hearing really going to the dogs! 🤔
It was very windy a lot of the time so had to keep the natural sounds lower due to the buffeting it created. Even with a mic wind protector it didn’t stop the noise.
WOW! Another and very special destination for you both. The scenery alone is magnificent and wild, with it’s remoteness making it a memorable video. Glad you had good weather to go into the caves. Thank you, I really enjoyed the video and look forward to part 2.
Yes it was a special place to visit. Very different to other places. Loved how quiet and peaceful it was. Less people around and easy to drive, unlike here in the UK! ☺
Absolutely amazing! My wife and I have only seen the Faroes in videos by landscape photographers and those almost always in winter. We had no idea that these islands were as populated as you show and the tunnels were jaw-dropping. That zodiac ride looked amazing, too. Thank you so much.
So glad you enjoyed the tour and it gave you a different perspective on the islands. I have to say I was not sure what you meant by zodiac ride? I have not heard that before.
This video is marvelous! Love the pacing. Were we traveling to the Faroe Islands, we would watch it over and over - it has so much content. Zodiac is the world leader in fast, inflatable boats. The larger ones, much used by militaries, are rigid inflatable boats, or RIBs.
That was amazing, thanks so much for sharing this adventure with us. There is certainly a wild rugged beauty about the archipelago. It must have been a bleak & hostile place to live for the Vikings, they'd have been at the mercy of the elements for sure, they've gained even more respect from me today 😊. I've often wondered what the islands were like as my late uncle visited there during WW2 when he was in the Royal Navy. We still have a baby's rattle that he bought for my older brother whilst he was there, it's stood the test of time & six children in our family! I can't get over the under water roundabout & tunnels, what an amazing bit of engineering, it can't have been easy to build with the tides coming & going. Can't wait to see the next video, thanks again guys 💗
Thank you boys for taking me with you on your wonderful journey! I always love watching your interesting videos. You are simply the best! Your are real masters of catching the mood of a landscape. Best regards from Germany
A very different land. Some of the landscapes look other worldly. Grass growing on house roofs? How is that done? 😮 The land is so rugged. Hard to imagine what could have been grown on it. What a challenge. The resilience of the people there must be admired.
Islands located closer to UK territory than to Denmark. a unique place out of this world, breathtaking scenery, and villages where time has stood still. Everything preserved according to nature, the only jarring note being the fish farming that impacts on the purity of the sea 🤔. I look forward to the continuation of the trip. 🥰
I have read quite a bit about the wild rise of the Faroe Islands when America & Europe drifted apart, so it is fantastic to see the archipelago as I myself live in a flat country, Denmark, so I look forward to more from you.
It's incredible what Memory Seekers has shown to us. Your production is more magnific than a movie in theaters, it's breathtaking. Amazing views of a land unknown by me. Its to watch in big screen. 🤩👏👏👏👏
This is so fascinating! Beautiful filming! Underwater roundabout! Yikes. These islands seem like they are caught in time, so bleak, yet stunning. That boat ride looks so exhilarating! And the geological history of the islands is right there for everyone to see. Thank you for taking us on this surprising and wonderful adventure!
Absolutely gobsmackedly beautiful place!!! I have seen photos of this particular place, the Faroe Islands, but this video really showed the full stunning and spectacular beauty of this place!!! This video went beyond my modest expectations in so many ways. Again I say gobsmackedly amazing place!!! Thank you so much for your excellent work yet again 👏 👍 😀 🙌 😊
This was a great episode. I've always wanted to see the Faroes. They're gorgeous. I sometimes wonder if I could adapt to living there; the almost complete absence of trees might make me loopy.
