At 30:45, you (Grace) are talking about an experience on a trip...to Costa Rica. I live in Costa Rica and you and David are my weekly church in my home. I would love, love, love to be of any assistance that i could be for a future trip to Costa Rica. I cannot house all of your group of teens but if y'all wanted to scout out the area first, i have a casita that sleeps six open to you anytime. You have so blessed my life and i would love to be able to be a blessing to you. lisa amie rossi.....Atenas , Costa Rica
David, I am SOOO THANKFUL that your Mom felt the Spirit when President Kimball was a blessing in her home and she ran with it!!! I'm a convert myself and I hope that someday one of my children will be a great teacher to so many like you are! You, Emily and Grace have been very important blessings in my life!💖🙏🥰
Alma 10:2 referring to the writing on the wall there is a footnote which leads to Daniel 5:16. The entire full story of Aminadi is not known. But Daniel 5:16 does make mention of a king who saw a hand appear and write on the wall of the palace. He was afraid by this and sought for someone to translate the writing on the wall. The writing was essentially a warning to the king and a prophesy of his downfall from God because of his wicked actions translated by Daniel. Because of this footnote it can be assumed that Aminadi's story is similar enough to this experience but there is no mention of him in any other scripture that I know of and I searched for a while. When I was on my mission I came across this verse and I was so intrigued because I know the Bible relatively well and I know the Book of Mormon very well and I don't remember hearing about Aminadi's story so I researched it for a while. And I couldn't find any mention of him anywhere else.
Wow, minute 49 prayer paradigm shift! I felt it too! I stopped the podcast and immediately prayed that way!!!! Simply obvious but so profound! Thank you!
My heart was 'tenderized' by so many different insights you provided. I loved the story about Pres. Oaks and the boy who said we met God in Costa Rica. And I loved learning of that poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Thank-you for the time you put in to prepare such meaningful lessons. I got so teary eyed thinking about that I wouldn't trade the gospel for anything!
Excellent lesson! I had a goosebump moment as I was searching at the end of the lesson for truths from Alma… and I found the last sentence of Alma 12…. That there was a place of rest prepared for me! How can I not strive to get there….. God is so good!❤️
I am so grateful for this podcast and what the two of you are inspired to share each week. Thank you for adding to my study of the Book of Mormon. I always walk away with a new insight that gets me pondering about my relationships with my Heavenly Father and the Savior. Side note: Brother Butler, I also served in Korea! Which mission were you in?
Alma 11 and 12 have been so impactful to giving such a clear understanding of how God wants us to have a secure relationship with him. He is our cheer squad and believes we can do it! Love from Australia!❤️🇦🇺❤️
This weeks worksheet has a major typo in it. It calls one silver weight an "exron" when it should be "ezrom". Important to note since there is a connection with "ezrom" to Zeezrom himself...
I am trying to find an old LDS song (maybe 2010-2014) that says “I Belong, I belong with you” in the chorus. Does anyone happen to know what it may be?
I'm not sure which one they used, but in the sticker set they sell, they have 9:13 associated with the word "remember". The word is also in verses 9, 10, and 14. So take your pick! :)
Blackberries are a type of Satan. On the holiday of Michelmas, people celebrate that Michael threw Satan out of heaven and he landed on a blackberry bush. (So spiked)
