Come with me to my last doctor appointment, giving birth at the hospital, and our first few days with a new baby at home! #pregnancy #vlog #childbirth #family #olympian
Thank goodness a baby's head it flexible......Great Job to you and your hubbie!Congrats!!!And people think gymnastics is hard......try laboring for 3+ hrs....you are a star Mykayla!
I know they have to keep you on clear liquids in case you need surgery but I hate it! How are you supposed to have the energy to do this monumental task without any real food! Great job, Mom
Congratulations on your baby girl and I love your sweatshirt and what is baby girl favorite Taylor Swift song and I have an era tour shirt that I got from Taylor website and u guys are the best parents to your daughter and I know that your baby girl is going to grow up as a swiftie just like her gorgeous mama
Congrats MyKayla and Jonas! Being 4'11, my first delivery was very similar, long and needing the vacuum to help out. I think our small stature makes things a little harder. I'm so glad you didn't have to go through a C-section!
Congrats! I definitely couldn't talk on our drive to the birth center but we found out when we got there that I was already at a 10. My body was pushing involuntarily on the drive there and I almost refused to get out of the car. My husband and midwife worked together to get me to the tub and our daughter was born 20 minutes later. It was wild.
💖💖Huge congrats to you both 💖💖. And we'll done Mykayla pushing her out. Just going on the size difference between the two of you AND you being a gymnast (i.e super strong pelvic ligaments), anyone who works in maternity would say that's no mean feat!. She's gorgeous, and thank you much for sharing this with us - it truly is a a privilege 💗
Oh man, I feel the nerves as I watch! I hope to have a family someday soon but am also very nervous about the whole process. Thank you for being open, vulnerable, and real and showing us what it was really like for you. I think it’s so important to be real about these things because it’s scary and it hurts. Congratulations, you did it! She’s beautiful!!
One thing I wish people would of told me with my first child. Don't be scared to pump milk and do bottles. Breast feeding is hard! Pumping is great and anyone can feed the baby then!
Yay!! 🎉Congratulations you guys! I had a lot of problems breast feeding for the same reason and the pumps these days are awesome so I ended up pumping a lot so I wasn’t engorged but warm showers helped w that and I did have post pardum eclampsia, ICU for 4 days on a magnesium sulfate drip, blood pressure meds, and benzodiazepines so my seizures were under control. Some nights I cried n cried and then…THE POST PARDUM DEPRESSION HIT! So be as careful as you can with that and reach out for help. You guys are going to be such amazing parents! ❤
Awww congrats mom and dad . Y’all gonna love parenthood. Enjoy every moment of it , soak in all of the newborn snuggles cuz they grow up so fast. I’m so happy for yall
She’s beautiful, and I love her name because it’s classic! I had my first baby in 2022, and I pushed for 2.5 hours, so I understand the difficulty and frustration. I’ve been told that the pushing gets quicker with each additional baby.
Congrats to you both!!! I gave birth to my daughter last year and ended up needing to use a vacuum to get her out because of the same reason! I didn’t want a c-section either so I am glad the vacuum worked for you! Lottie is so precious! Enjoy this time, it really does go by so fast! ❤️❤️❤️
Breastfeeding is hard no matter what! Do not put any guilt on yourself if it doesn’t work out. Do not listen to anyone who says it’s easy if you do it right. They are wrong. I breastfed my first for 6 months and my second for 6 weeks. They are both healthy, great & wonderful 20 & 13 year olds!
Lol!!! You were all “look at this menu!!!!” A few hours later… fast food from another place!!!! 😂🤣 on a much more important note, CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!!! Jesus loves you guys so much and your little daughter! God bless!
Your breastfeeding experience is 100% normal!! It is usually about 6 weeks for comfortable breastfeeding and a schedule to develop…. I’m an NICU nurse so I see it all the time!
She got a silver medal. then she went on to say racist horrible things about the current team which is a little to black for this evil racist. they can't hear her though through all the clanging of all their GOLD medals!!!!
Congratulations dear Mykayla and Jonas! God bless your beautiful baby girl, you, and your amazing family. Accept all the help offered in order for you to rest as much as you can. That was always my mother's advice as a certified childbirth educator. Thanks for sharing your special life moments. Infinite love and blessings always...
Love that you got In N Out as your first meal post baby! My first had a vacuum assist too. Her head will go down and be normal again after a bit. Congratulations!! Hope your recovery goes well
Oh my gosh, Melo reminds me so much of our Mack when our daughter was born just two weeks after Myk. We had three cats: Mack, her son Eddie, and Rocky, who was deaf. Eddie became our alpha male. He would lay across the door to our daughter's room to protect her. There are very few pictures of our daughter as a baby without Eddie in them. Mack was not thrilled with having a baby in the house but learned to tolerate her. Poor Rocky was clueless. We have many pictures of all three cats with our daughter as she grew up. The only time the cats wanted to be in our daughter's crib was when she wasn't in it. Melo will come around. I returned to teaching when our daughter was seven weeks old. By then, she was sleeping in our bed, where she slept for the next year. I needed sleep if I was going to teach high schoolers the next day. I nursed for 13 months, which meant I needed sleep during the night.
Thanks for sharing your video. She's beautiful Mykayla!!!! So excited for your little family. I was not expecting that last part. Thanks for the laughs Jonas and nurses. When you feel up to it I'd love to hear how different the first 2 weeks vs month 2 feel for you both.
Congrats!! My daughter was born by Ventouse. They tried forceps but I apparently have a very narrow pelvis, (I have 33in hips) and the forceps didn't work. (My daughter still has a scar on her eyebrow from the failed forceps) So they went with the vacuum) so she had a cone head and a cut eye. I'm only 5ft 3ins and she weighed 8lbs 13 ounces. That's just under 4kg.
