Those were Golden Days... Shaktimaan, School Days,, Aleef Laila,, Chandra Kanta,, those serials and these mind blowing cricket players... Always cherish those moments
Dada's 183 against Sri Lanka ❤❤❤❤❤❤ everyone remember that match 😢😢😢😢😢 aaj kal ki generation or aaj Kal k cricketers emotionless for country, us time ki baat hi Alag thi ❤❤❤
WOW ! The song brings back old memories... In the 90s, there was no T20 Cricket, No IPL...only Test Cricket and ODI Cricket...and it was all about cheering on and supporting the Indian Cricket Team for The Indian Cricket Fans.
Cricket was everything to our 90s generation It united us , for those who only read about stories of independence from Britain, watching Indian cricket winning evoked patriotism in us!! Sachin outlived all legendary performances and good thing was there was no mobiles!! We had to wait and wait to read about the match we watched! Watching the highlights was a dream, we loves ESPN and Star sports! This gen may have gadgets and speed network, sorry we had an amazing time!!
Know what...this was the prelude to Indias Golden run...Gangulys captaincy..australias final frontier....2003 final appearance....sehwag Zak DhoniKohli ...and then best test team.... 2007 ...2008...2011.....2013........ and we are still on it!
For Some reason this was the most beautiful phase for Indian Fans... We used to win few n loose a lot, on Foreign Soil definitely loose a lot😂 Bt every win was so beautiful n magical during the 90s...Had some G8s in d line up den which is now baffling to understand why our win percentage was so low during the 90s🤔
I still remember this song having been repeatedly played during the WC 1999 only until the quarter final match vs NZ which we lost. Even winning it wouldn't have mattered as we were out already.
goosebumps moment... bachpan ki yaadein taaza kardi... 1999 WC ke time B&W TV par yeh ad. jab deta tha India ke match ke time woh ek alag hi feeling jagati thi sabke andar... late 90's and early 00's Era is truely the Golden Era of Indian Cricket not in terms of results bt from the prospect of emotions and feelings.. ab toh India lagbag har match jitti hai lekin woh feelings hi nhi hota jo uss Era me hua karta tha...
watched it after 18 years but it still give me chills it gave me back that time. makes me remember one of the strongest players of indian cricket at that time and makes me proud of being an indian.
Our childhood song..well tears roll down..realising that's these days will never return .life was so simple back then..no ipl..passion for this sport..
Back then, whenever team India used to be in trouble and I used to mummer this song and imaging that team would do something magical and would come back in game. Such a nostalgic moment.
Have to say that the level of optimism in Indians in 90s was stratospheric levels....who would expect to win a world cup with may be 2-3 world class players and with team full of consistently legendary players like Nikhil Chopra, Debashish Mohanty, S. Ramesh, Venkatesh Prasad and Amey Khurasiya?
Actually our team was not that bad with world class players like Sachin, rahul, ganguly, kumble, srinath, azhar, jadeja. This batting order was up there with any other team, only problem was 2 weak bowlers, wk, and a batsman.
1. Weakest fielding team (Competes with pakistan) 2. Weakest bowling team (Better only to Zimbabwe) 3. Good batting team (but crumbles under pressure and while playing outside India) 4. Worst keeper batsman 5. Worst batting tail 6. No allrounders No inspiring captaincy, will power, team spirit, agression or killer instinct. Was a real pain to see the endless defeats of the 90s cricket team. But..... it was the most memorable period of many of our lives.
@@cjvatsal8010 nope it was not similar sort of team. For once, we had better overall bowling attack than what we had in 1999. Sachin Tendulkar also lost his father midway during the tournament and was clearly not in his elements.i do think that the only way India would have won the world cup or come close would have been if Sachin were firing on all cylinders backed by some out of character good bowling. Saurav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid were not as brisk as say Mark Waugh and Ricky Ponting in scoring as per conditions and frankly the latter were far ahead as ODI batsmen in 1999 compares to Ganguly- Dravid duo. Azharuddin was too hit and miss by then. Zimbabwe was not a bad team those days but clearly inferior to India; yet India lost to them. The 2015 team under Dhoni would not have lost to 1999 Zimbabwe or any middle rung team under any circumstances. Please don't compare the hitting power of Dhoni and Raina to that of Robin Singh and Jadeja- the latter were no match to the former.
Just before 1999 World Cup. Cricket is not just a game It's a religion for us. Religion is Cricket Caste is cricket Gothra Barna everything is cricket. Thanks for uploading this video.
feeling nostalgic man.. bachpan ki yaad dila di... kya din the woh yr.. jab me yeh gaana 1999 WC me dekha tha toh mujhe goosepumps aa gaye the aur ab 21 saal baad dekh rha hu tab bhi wohi wala goosepumps aa gaya... 1999 ka wc aur ad. me yeh video jab dekha tha yr.. ek alag hi feeling aati thi.. ab toh Indian Cricket me bhi woh maaza nhi rha halaki India top pe hai abhi fir bhi woh baat nhi hai jo late 90's aur early 2000,s ke team me hua karti thi.. Golden Era of Indian Cricket....
A time when life was life, a time when cricket used to play. A time when beauty existed in all dimensions of life.Blessed are those who lived their childhood and young age in 80s and 90s
It was Srinath's mother not Kumble's grandmother. It was probably the only match witnessed by mothers from the stadium with their sons winning the match for the country.
kumble's mother n grandmother both were present on that match.. Only Grandma was shown in this video. It was Titan cup match played in bengaluru Vs aus 1996 India's famous win
@@RIP_Hareesh what a match it was!! Gutsy performances and lot of nerves Srinath and Kumble in the climax. Still remember... Watched with whole family. Wish to go back to those days.
The passion that we all had during the 90s for the Indian cricket is nothing as compared to now. Although we had a weaker team back then in 1990s...but to even listen to players' names like Sachin, Jadeja, Srinath, Prasad, etc, used pump us up! Those Sharjah tournaments, Sahara cup series in Toronto, tri series were fantastic 👌 and I miss them a lot! But now cricket has become a mere business.
Kya composition kya lyrics aur kya energy thi yeh gaane mein Shankar Mahadevan ki ! A great world cup motivational song, the one in 2011 sucked with all due respect to composer's greatness !
Shankar Mahadevan has brought South Indian music touch in the song. Recently, he has given master class music in Hindustani classical music in Bandish Bandits. How different!
What a inspiring song, I was a child at that time, my papa is a man who is very much proud to be an Indian, he listens this song with holding my finger in his hand. I remember this song of my childhood and become nostalgic too much.
The way I used to watch cricket was quite different.. I used to differentiate score board in tv, jerseys for various tournament's and commentary team. I still remember I have drawn 99 WC logo at road where we used to play gully cricket 99 WC didn't go well for India, i still remember the heart warming game against Zimbabwe due to which India lost place in semis.
Come on guys this is a unity song to come together as one team. Why you guys are talking about the Grey part of it only? Why we tend to point out the negative part so quickly and ignore all the good things??
There were so many songs dedicated to 1999 world cup at that time. One was sung by KK and few others as well. Many felt as if they have won the world cup already 😂
First try to learn Hindi language. For every one wil be in surprise why these tamilians don't know other languages. Is this shows they r selfish or 'Pond frogs 🐸 which wil think pond itself is very big than others 😊. That's why every Indian r hating to go Tamilnadu & work there because of language problem. So respect other languages also, mainly Hindi which is our National language ❤
True, was a good time for the 90s Kid.. 1996- 2008 , WWE,Cricket, music, Sports, TV shows, Cartoons, when life was simple and had a meaning... many things were special and had a unique feelings & memories...but now in a crowded world with of technology/internet/ smartphone..it has consumed us nothing is rare or special anymore.. also its all business now..nowdays its all about making money or become non existant.
true man.. the period between late 90's and mid 2000's was the Golden Period for every Industry and also made our childhood awesome... i still remember the craze for the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression Era...that time we all were crazy for both Cricket and WWE... Cricket is my life and always will be till my last breathe.. bt i don't find that kind of emotions or feelings towards specially for Indian Cricket after the retirement of my God #Viru paji...
@abhijit : you are right my brother, i so miss food also of 90s. today the food is so adulterated and expensive, in 90s we could eat anything bcz food adulteration was so minimal, our simple daal roti and sabzi was so cheap and yet good source of protein, carbs and vitamins but now we have to eat hundred of kinds of things just to stay in a normal shape. everything is so adulterated and junk now that daal roti is not enough these days. u gotta eat avacoados, nuts, almonds, dates, fruits, multivitamins etc. every fucking thing is so expensive
