Haven’t finished the video yet but came here to say that Jackly was a great live band. I always groaned when they came on the radio but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw them live. Great show

Gee, I enjoyed this video. There were a few bands that I didn't listen to back in the day that I will revisit after your assessment. I must admit I was unsure what your verdict of Warrant would be. They were my favourite band of that era so I was very happy you put them as a Superb. Jani was so brutally underrated which is a travesty. Extreme were also a favourite of mine so also pretty chuffed they ended up so high. I'm going to try Saigon Kick, Winger and Dokken as I have not listened to them at all. Great vid. Thank you

Hey, thanks for watching. I’m actually quite surprised at the love Warrant has been getting on this vid, i’m very pleased by that. There will be another video on Warrant coming up this season, probably late February. So hopefully you’ll check that out. Every Hairband is S-tier, obviously. However, Motley Crue circa 2015-Present is also F-Tier. xD Also, as always I'm loving the love for Saigon Kick, Extreme, and Mr. big. Extreme's first album is definitely Hair Metal though (even with the funk and prog influences) and I think Saigon Kick gets lumped in mainly because of "What You Do" which was a catchy hard rock song in the vein of something like the Damn Yankees. Not "Hair" metal maybe, but definitely Pop Metal, which is adjacent to the point of being interchangeable. Same with Mr. Big.

I agree with most of your comment here and it’s not even a difference of opinion, just a difference of recollection. I remember the day Saigon Kick was roped in, it’s when “Love Is On The Way” hit big. Before that, i heard very little about them with the exception of my circle of friends. Not a lot of people in my area knew who they even were until that song popped off. Thanks for watching and for your comment.

Can i address 3 things hear? I just love about what you said about warrant as a hair band jani lane was the best singer of the genre in my opinion could write heavy, party and ballad songs and i wish he was still alive tooo one of my favorite singers. 2nd of all how bad did mark slaughter really sound cause from what ive heard from other people he can sound good. He is got a great voice in my opinion i know some people don't like it but i love it And 3rd and foremost steelheart should been in the a tear miljenko matijevic is a amazing singer and the guitar work with the band is fantastic and tangled in reins is a monster of an album so heavy and such an banger and definitely not chezey and they do have more album other than the 1st 2 but its ok if you don't know alot about them to put them that low but i would put them in the a tier such a great video to see from u and very glad to have see .

WELL, thank you for watching and for your comment. Yea i admit that i fell off with that band after the first two albums and the “Rock Star” stuff. Milo has an absolutely sick voice, i agree there but overall i like where i have them. But that’s the name of this game right, everybody has their own tier list, so thank you for sharing part of yours. Mark Slaughter might sound good at times, but he didn’t when i saw him in May. I generally like his voice from back in the day, but not lately.

@redbeardvideos33 no problem I am only a 15 year old girl who loves Theses type of bands and I love Saigon kick but I would put them al little lower cause many people think they are more of a grunge or alternative band but they not to me actually they are just a little more heavy and would consider mr big hard rock rather pop rock in my opinion and am actually fixing to see Mr big live really excited about that and miljenkos nickname is mili not milo

@@Brooke80srockstarlet Well a few things here. a) it’s so dope that a young person such as yourself has found yourself being a fan of this music. I love that, and tried that with my kids but they landed on more heavy stuff mostly, but it’s all good, i showed them that stuff too 😂 b) Saigon Kick is a tough band to nail down and sadly they did end up in the “catch all” category of the time and that was “Hair” bands. They are certainly more like King’s X (if you’re not familiar with them i highly recommend it) with the harmonies and their song structures and the like. Probably more commercial based than King’s X, but definitely more in that vein. C) yea, i’m aware of Milli’s name, i just like to have fun with it because i’ve butchered his name my whole life. So im poking fun at myself with it. 😂😂😂

this guy probably isnt like ur type of music but like have you heard this up and coming musician called ricky jamaraz. hes a teenager making music out of his bedroom and he has like 76k monthly listeners

Not having Mr. Big as an S-tier band. Great musicians, but they were all better in other bands and the songs were average, at best. Saigon Kick should be nowhere near this list, never a 'hair metal' band.

With all due respect, there is nothing average about songs like Green Tinted Sixties Mind, Take Cover, and Addicted to that Rush to name a few. IMO those songs were the pinnacle of pop metal.
