Love the video with your mom. I too grew up on garage sales and antique malls. My mom actually owned an antique shop for 23 years. Sadly she passed away in August but this video brought back so many good memories.

My Mom got me into thrifting. I always went thrifting with my Mom. Now I go thrifting with my daughter. I love how you repurposed the ashtrays! That was a great idea!!

Speaking of forgetting suitcases, years ago I forgot my suitcase for our trip to Hawaii and didn't realize until we got to the airport, about 1.5 hours from my parent's house. A dear family friend then taxi-ed out to the airport to bring my suitcase to me.
I absolutely love this. I also went Black Friday thrifting with my mom and it was so fun. She got me into thrifting when I was in middle school and I’ve loved it ever since.
just in case, please don’t put those cute metallic cups in the microwave bc i did without thinking and when i grabbed it i burned my fingers so bad and it wasn’t even in there that long :(
