Those "vintage" stores are absolutely ridiculous, I remember looking at the prices in there expecting cheap stuff and my eyeballs nearly fell out of my head. I learnt my lesson lool.

My closest friends are those that were there for me when I got cancer. The people I now call my best friends came through when I needed them whilst others were less supportive. I hope I am as good a friend.

to answer the table talk: what i look for in a close friend is someone who is unconditional supportive. i struggle a lot with mental health and it’s especially difficult in quarantine so having someone who can help me through my lows is very important. and of course i return the favor! i think just having people in our lives that are genuinely good and supportive and loving and non-toxic is really really important

I see a close friend as someone who is comfortable sharing their boundaries, is honest with me when I’m in the wrong but also listens to what I have to say, will include me in conversations where I don’t completely know the people around me, open minded, trustworthy and we can joke around with each other/ talk or even sit in silence for hours on end

One main quality I look for in a close friend is authenticity. I hate people who act fake and lie a lot, I just want honesty

I agree with all the traits you've listed. "Active trying" has been the most important to me in recent years. People aren't always going to be their best and aren't always going to have those qualities when you need or want them to have. But if I see that there's an active intention to be better at whichever, those are the relationships and people I hold onto the hardest.

In a very close friend, I look for loyalty, someone who I can laugh with and someone who can support me through anything. With me I need to be as open with my friends as possible cause if not then I get into a really bad place cause I won't talk to anyone.

Honesty is a verry important quality in a friend for me. Feeling like im making things awkard or that im annoying is a big struggle for me, so when people tell me (nicely) stuff thats bothering them or things they think i did wrong i apreciate it a lot, cause then i can change for the better.

I look for honesty in any friendship. Because I have been betrayed by my very best friends and I feel like if they would have been more honest in our friendship than maybe things would not end the way they did. Table talk! I’ve always struggled with over thinking, anxiety & panic attacks because of some life incidents that occurred when I was 12 I’m now 24 but I still haven’t been able to mentally & emotionally grow out of that stage. And often people misunderstand or miscommunicate my thoughts / feelings .. further leading to then friendships ending it becoming frustrating & stressful So in a close fried I would look for understanding, reassurance, patience & adventure! I’ve been limiting my self all my life so in a close friend I would expect the opposite to bring that side of me out whilst I’m able to bring her / his calm & mature side!

My partner and I always look in the charity stores , pick up toys and clothes for my young one as well as myself. We have managed to get some great things and save alot of money. It would be someone who knows and appreciates the real you and doesn't judge you. And of course, someone you can laugh with. I'm so lucky to have found a friend just like this. I hope everyone does one day :)

Yes taz this is the safest place I have discovered on the internet. Because of certain reasons I can't call my house my home, so I find little bricks of home in the outer world, your aura is one brick I am grateful for. Sometimes, some people think of depression and anxiety as just negativity, you prove it's not.

I agree with the points u said taz. I also think its really important to have a good understanding of each other. Personally ui belive that if you arent putting effort into understanding each other the friendship would not last very long. and what i mean by understanding is not like you have to know every little thing about each other. rather to put in the effort to understand the intentions, emotions and reactions of the other person. Anyway thank you for the space you have made here, it made me feel less alone.

For everything you did in the table talk, yes yes and yes. Loyalty is a big one for me. And I have had bad friends and been a bad friend and I’ve learned more about myself from the experience, still slowly forgiving myself for being on either spectrum of these toxic relationships

Things to look for in a friend🤔 kindness, respect, compassion, understanding, being a good listener, being able to share their feelings to. Having similar likes, interest or experiences I think helps too. Doesn't have to be everything alike just that one thing that's sparks a connection at the start. Have a great day everyone.💜🤗
