I love this. Besides purchasing directly from ethical and eco friendly companies, this is the best way to reduce your footprint as far as fashion goes! I’ve been thrifting and buying secondhand since I was a kid - most of my clothing comes from the thrift store, or everlane. Fast fashion, while trendy, affordable and easy to consume, is so terrible for the planet and most of the workers in the factories that produce it. All of my cashmere, leather, suede, wool and beautiful cotton and linen pieces come from consignment or thrift and it’s a great way to stock up on quality, long-lasting pieces. Proud of you Alex and would LOVE to see another one!

Thifting is something newer me to and I feel like I’ve been wasting money for years. I initially started as a way to thrift flip and resell clothes but I have now started to wear thrifted clothes daily!! A few tips that helped me - go when you have plenty of time, sizes are completely scattered and you might find a xxl in the smalls. Go when Goodwill or Salvation Army are having sales, I just got 35 pieces of clothing for $20 because SA was having 50% off. Go to the bougie part of town, you will be floored at what people donate. From one plus sized sista to another I love that you made this video!! I’ve found ModCloth, Torrid, and Lane Bryant at my local thrift stores and I can’t get over how much money I save!!!

I have thrifted for years and it always amazes me the things I am able to find! Like a brand new Coach bag, and tons of Lane Bryant, Torrid, Old Navy and other brands with the tags still on sometimes!
