I count Brad Fiedel as one of my main musical influences, and for a long time I have wanted to cover Come to Me. The problem? I can't sing. At all. Like, even my humming is off-key. Thank the gods I figured out how to use Audacity as a vocoder.

This is actually really cool. The vocoder elements makes me think of the 80’s comic series and the story arc which included aliens. I could totally see this used in a more bizarre, sci-fi induced Fright Night spin-off.

I have no idea why you don't like this version. You make the song feel even more 80s. The minor roughness and difficulty hearing the lyrics are not a big deal to me. Most Fright Night fans already know the lyrics to this haunting song. +100 to you!

I assumed that was what you meant by needing to be in sync more; the vocals were the only thing I had to process in another program.

Hey, do you know what your settings on your vocoder was? I really like the sound of it.

Well, it's complicated. I actually used the vocoder tool in Audacity to combine my voice with a separate modulator signal, which I created using a custom preset for the Harmless preset in FL Studio. If you have that program, I could send you the preset file.

I only have LMMS sadly. Maybe there's a similar preset in LMMS to Harmless? I'm guessing there must be several different presets I could use to combine my voice with.
