When singers get older, their voices typically lose some of their power and range but Simon Le Bon, close to 60yo, is in quite impressive shape. He's been singing in that band for 38 years!
Wow, he's hitting all the notes from 24 years back live! No scaling down to a lower key or replacing high notes with lower ones or even shortness of breath. Impressive!
It takes two, ya' know.... Count me in, i am also 52 and love them Duranies since first heard of them back in '83. Seen them only once in 2006, their first and last performance in Bucharest, a one lifetime offer, grabbed it. Love them to this day, my "wild boys"...
Duran Duran was my favorite group as a teen in the 80's. I had posters of them covering my walls. They were also my first concert in the 80's at MSG. Simon still looks and sounds amazing... I love them then and I love them always ❤❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
A voice is always able to maintain its originality of it's nothing special to stay with. He's not the greatest singer by far but can hold a note or two. It's a whiny voice but he's made his living from it so fair dues.
Im so Happy I was part of this time, I was 14 when Rio debut, 26 when Come undone debut, I lived through the best times in music, New wave, industrial, grunge, punk, trip hop, need I say more.
They sound like they did in the 80s. And that is a extremely difficult thing to do. Great Job they didn't loss a thing.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I personally thought they would never sound that incredible live. I was WRONG!!!!!! That is a true talent boys & girls.
so true. smashing pumpkins was from another planet in about 2004 Much Music Parking Lot. I felt my heart doing something different . No lie and I heard the same from others on the train back home. You actually feel something extra going to another level. Billy paused and looked at me parting the waves of audience members when the audience stopped to follow his gaze to figure what's he looking at I guess?. Same happened at Gwen's Stephany of NO BOUBT concert around 2003 ish before she had her baby. I felt as if I was one with the frequency at Billys concert. Pumpkins harmonise only when they are together though. GOD KNOWS . These are special blessed talents
Im a metalhead, but I will say with no shame at all that I've been a DD fan for most of my life.. This song is not only my favorite DD song but my favorite song of all time.. It came out the year I graduated and have so many fond memories when I hear it... Greatest song of all time....😁😁
These guys are ageless and timeless..Who know they'd last this long and still be current and demand so much respect ? Rock and Roll Hall of Fame--WTF ??!
The 90s were a special time and i feel priviledged to hold a memory of it. Sometimes, i feel sad for today's kids and teens, not only music-wise but there's something not quite there on all levels.
IGUAL YO CRECÍ CON SU MÚSICA Y MUCHOS ARTISTAS MÁS Y AHORA MIS HIJOS ESCUCHAN SU MÚSICA ES MI REGALO LES ENSEÑO LA BUENA MÚSICA SALUDOS DE MAZATLÁN SINALOA MÉXICO 🙋🏻♀️🤗
This song came out in the 90s, and I remember it stayed on the MTV charts Top 10 for so long. I love this song so much. It reminds me of my childhood days, hehe.
This was played at our dear friends wake one of her favourite songs of the 80s bless you Sam you looking down on your family and friends and grandkids you will never be forgotten r I p love stu and Charlotte
Even if some young people might don't know (I'm not that old 37 yrs old), Simon was the top of fashion style for so many other artists... his haircut was a boom those days. What a song! Even my daughters sing it when they are in my car. Cheers from the land of TEQUILA.
What a relief he doesn't do drugs to destroy his voice. What a relief he sounded fulfilling to me. I know that voice and feeling when I hear his frequency since I was a 7 year old kid
