@@danielbrian8019 if you don’t know where you’re going, yeah. i recommend going on a trail if ur planning on going in the woods because your most likely not going to get a phone signal while in the woods.
Raised here! Maybe someone will see more than what we have! So many people moving in not the same! Prices have gone up so high now, rent& etc.! No jobs really to find! Thankful for what we do have& to call home, just very hard at times! Welcome & may you be blessed more!
Visit Georgia more often if you can. You know we have great summer time lakes here. There's always house rentals for vacations on every lake. Here's a few lakes in case you consider it. Lake Lanier, Lake Oconee, Elijah Clarke Hill state park (on the Savannah river), Lake Alatoona
My fiance and I are planning to elope here! We are from south Texas, so we don't see much of greenery or mountains (just sweltering summers and crunchy grass lol). Looking forward to visiting this town!
It is beautiful but way to many people here now. My dads family has been here hundreds of years. The Cherokee. You can not go anywhere in these mountains to be alone anymore.
I disagree. I go many places around blue ridge and never see a soul. I'm surrounded by thousands of acres of USFS lands. The Cohutta is very empty of people. It even has Dark Sky designation.
I can remember when it was still a small town, before we were inundated with tourists and people looking to capitalize on the area. Now, I'm just sick to my stomach and looking to leave my home.
Hi there, we love your video from Blue Ridge and would like to feature a few seconds of it (with credit) to promote travel in Georgia. Your perspective is so fun! If interested, you can grant us permission through the “collector” link in our bio. Hope to hear from you soon!
blue ridge has loads of people trust me if u move there u might have wait for 3 red lights on ur next trip oh and buy the way i live blue this where im typing now ok bye now
Great place to visit, but horrible to live here. Bring lots an LOTS of money as it thinks its a big city and will charge you like you're in New York City. Move here? Good luck finding a place... there isn't any place here to rent. Oh wait.. there is Ducktown. This video makes it seem like heaven, when it isn't. However, If you enjoy living Off The Grid... This is the place for you. Nothing beats cabin life. Oh and all those shops... They are just filled with over priced cabin junk.
Thank you so much for your comments. When our team went to Blue Ridge we saw some positives. The downtown area had a few boutiques and there were some good food options. (we decided not to ride the train though!)
@@anthonymiller6696 lol I live in talking rock...we hardly ever visit downtown cause of tourists and everything is so expensive! Avoid ellijay during the apple festival and jasper for the marble festival lol
I'm a resident of blue ridge, and hardly go downtown cause of how expensive they are. I went one time in this music shop me and a friend. Well long story short the owner said it was rare to find four locals in there shop
The people who lived in these mountain regions are of Scottish and Irish heritage who were "white " people .the harsh living conditions before electricity and other modern inventions kept these areas from being settled by a more diverse population therefore these areas stayed unchanged for years.slaves were not introduced in these areas because it wasn't a great place to grow cotton so the racial makeup has remained the same for generations.like Denzel washington once said in a movie it's not a racial thing but a cultural thing.i think that fits for the north Georgia mountains as well as most of the smokey mountains and Appalachia in general
Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t realize Blue Ridge locals own the land. I hope you realize people that come there, tourist, is what keeps that place alive and thriving. People that come there and pay money to stay, go to restaurants, gift shops, etc. etc. You should be more thankful for that brings money to your area. I’m from Panama City Beach, Florida, and we appreciate. The tourism here! We know it keeps us going!
