Yes at first, unfortunately, Mexico wasn’t an option at all. Mainly because a close Tia of mine didn’t have papers and I could never have my wedding without her there.. luckily after 35 years she got her papers a couple months ago ❤❤❤ The family always said once she got her papers we would all take a trip to Mexico together… so we thought this would be the perfect opportunity!! Also, I have been looking for venues for over 2 years in Florida that would let us party until at least 3am and unfortunately never found one (even after contacting multiple wedding planners in the area) 😢 So it was literally meant to be! ❤

@@Orangesare1ife1ma’am I’ve never said this (no shade to anyone on it) not sure where you heard this from but if we were on it, I would literally be sitting my butt home everyday , instead of working out late nights / early mornings, I wouldn’t have gotten a trainer, I would not be eating clean and not be doing multiple 5k’s a week (even while on vacation) since I wouldn’t have to if I was on it 🙃

Lily, I was SHOCKED when you said “craft cocktails” are a newer thing in the US and that you were worried about not finding good “MIXOLOGIST” (correct word for someone who handcrafts cocktails) in MX when honestly in my opinion Mexico has amazing bars that are doing their thing with these cocktails and not only that many bars in Mx have been rated top bars of Latin America bcus of their cocktails someone correct me if we have gone into the top best in the world. I’ve tried my best drinks in Oaxaca, Mexico City, Jalisco, Baja and Puebla… Chefs kiss 😚

Omg girl yes ! The cocktails looked fire! I completely agree with what you said about having authentic Mexican food in Mexico! Like why would I want anything other than that while there! It’s wild that some party planners look down on that because our food is so diverse and delicious! Well, in Guanajuato there are many options, in Salvatierra, Gto there are also haciendas, Hacienda de Corralejo in Penjamo or Hotel Castillo Santa Cecilia just to mention a few, or Leon, Gto.

Yall need a location that has several acres so the noise doesn’t matter and stay up super late! Lol been to GTO so many times and never seen such beautiful locations, you know Mexico weddings are usually just in the centrio where the kiosko is 🤣
