She wasn’t thinning out your hair. She was point cutting your hair. Point cutting helps to blend the hair with the other lengths so it’s not choppy going from long to short. I’m a cosmetologist. If she was thinning out your hair, she would using thinning shears 💯

Beautiful hair Shaniece! She did a great job. It doesn’t look like she is thinning your hair it looks she is point cutting which just removes some of the bulk from the ends.

@@ShaneiceCrystal oh ok got you. I think some stylist just layer that way. It came out great with a lot of body and that’s a great length. I wish I could find someone to do mine it is to long and wont hold a curl. I hope you are enjoying your haircut because you know your hair grows super fast.

She wasn’t thinning it at all she was making the blend more seamless around your face frame. I do it all the time with my clients in the salon. If she went in and just chopped a straight line it would’ve felt so heavy and had no movement around your face. She’s excellent at cutting. She looks like she’s learned a lot of different techniques.

Looks beautiful but I don’t think you need the heat that high for your hair type. You’ll probably get some heat damage so make sure you use a good hair mask when you wash your hair
