i understand what you say, but it's a bad spell (and because it's a spell it may come true). i really hope you wont carve into your retirement money to help a relative. i hope you will have a lot of money and just be kind and help if you are asked for ;)
@Anlonn I know what you're saying about being taken advantage of, but the grandfather was attending the shows so he saw the fruit of his investment. That's very different from some grandkid asking for money every few weeks for some hair-brained scheme that you later find out is for drugs or gambling.
That is exactly what I came here to say. He’s got an emotional maturity rarely seen in public on this level. His willingness to be vulnerable is such a valuable trait to model to his fans 🙏❤️🌻
Everyone once in a while youtube throws me an absolute gem. I've never heard of Matt Rife before but I'm for sure going to remember him after this interview. Also how refreshing is it to have a great interviewer like Rosemarie Miller. She's genuinely interested and listening to what he has to say and asking relevant questions. Those are some real folks right here.
Wow this guys isnt just funny but his humility is amazing, its great that he is learning under a great comic like Dave Chapelle. Hope he gets to achieve and keep success in his journey.
@@roguekgamer His ticket sales are due to large hoards of women, who casually watch comedy, enjoying his act because they can yell things like "take off your belt" and bring him cookies. He is talented for sure. No one can take that from him, but his success is largely due to the fact that he is attractive. People who are fans of comedy know there are dozens of comedians who are considered elite and don't get nearly the same attention. There is no other reason why 90% of his audience would consist of women. Men are fans of comedy too so obviously something else is going on here.
@@foodtomeslowly1775 I love his comedy and its to notch. Most of the men are little bitc8es these days who get offended and cry in the corner or in comments but it doesnt matter to him cause he dont care XD
@@robinandersen7053 Like I said, "He is talented for sure. No one can take that from him" but your boyfriend is playing it cool. Knows you have a crush on Matt and is acting unphased so he doesn't come across as jealous. You get your little girls-night-out and everyone is happy. There are a million comedians that are way better than Matt on a technical level, but you don't care because Matt's jawline speaks for itself. Just make sure you return the favor to your boyfriend. Go take him to see a moderately talented woman with large breast somewhere or something.
Kudos to interviewer, Rosemarie Miller on a wonderful job! Matt is so articulate and honest and she did an awesome job asking great questions to make the most of his honesty and candor.
Great interview! He's so generous with the pearls of wisdom he's received from the giants that came before him too - very uncommon amongst young artists these days, where they like to 'protect their energy'. Wish this dude all the success in the world. He deserves it!
This is one of the best interviews that I’ve seen with Matt, who was flawless as usual. The lady did an excellent job, asking intelligent and interesting questions, nothing about his looks or who he’s dating or anything about his private life. I saw him on GMA or some talk show a while back, and the first thing the female host said was how cute he was, Christ! We get it the guy is attractive, but he is also a brilliant comedian. How about we concentrate on his body of work not just his physical body.
Yes, I’m floored at his intelligence and humility. If I could be a fly on the wall when he converses with Chapelle. I’m sure that would be a box office show. He will probably end up doing more than comedy and acting.
I love these kind of interviews. We see how mature and Matt's genuine character. He is so much more than a comedian and a pretty boy. He is defying the stereotypes he gets.
This is what an interview should be. Real, authentic to the core! Like a talk between friends.! Hands dowwn! Also, keeep up the work you are doing with your passion , Matt!! You got thiss mate!!!
I love that the interviewer allowed him to share his story without any interruptions. Rife is a great new talent and I hope he does listen to those providing him with great advice.
I'm in love with his brain, and the way he communicates. I wish him success and especially, happiness ❤ EDIT: Congrats to the lady for such an amazing interview.
Matt, if you have love and respect for the military, PLEASE, join a USO tour. I cannot explain how much joy you could bring to the troops just by giving them an excellent comedy show.
Matt is so humble. What a great guy to emulate and look up to. This guy is going places and I hope he retains this humility as he will undoubtedly progresses to new highs.
She asked some brilliant questions and he answered so thoughtfully and eloquently. Great to see he is so grateful for his success and able to be so self aware and willing to grow. I think he’s funny AF but to see his dedication and emotional intelligence is inspiring. ❤
My heart is really full after seeing this interview. They both did an amazing job, i can feel true kindness and warmth coming from both of them. Very inspiring!!!!
This was like sitting in on a therapy session. I feel like we were literally eavesdropping lol. Great job Matt. Congrats on all your success. Well deserved
What a great interviewer and Matt is so humble and cognizant of what’s important. I tried to get tickets but the show sold out so fast I missed the opportunity.
What an amazing interviewer! She is a breath of fresh air! So authentic and caring! She really asked those questions with full intention of listening like they have deep meaning for her and the audience. Finally! I forgot what that felt like with all these podcasts…
Wow! That’s one of the best interviews I’ve ever listened to. She is so calm and intelligent and her questions/comments so insightful. And Matt is so smart…dare a say wise! I was a bit surprised. Great lessons he shared and his perspective is refreshing in this day and age.
This dude is amazing. I was thinking how can someone so charismatic and good looking get down at all? But he has had many internal struggles that I’ve faced a lot. What a humble guy.
This man is so self aware it’s refreshing, i do try to hold myself accountable for how are feel negatively or what i think negatively, the fact that he did it on camera is brave and impressive.
He seems so genuine and the thought process of his is so relatable! Totally get how dreams come true can be also a little bit of nightmares. 😆 and also talking about jealousy etc. So open person. 🙏 appreciate those experiences!
I love Matt rife and he is incredibly talented and can we take a moment to get this interviewer a raise for how amazing she is at her job? I mean I noticed it and thought wow she is really good at this and went to the comments not expecting anyone else to see it like I did and I was pleasantly surprised that we all did. Give this woman a raise!
Literally the best interview outside of a 2+ hour pod cast to date Ive seen (that include "talk shows" host) by far! Such good clarifying questions. I have to appreciate a host who can seamlessly dig for more information and keep a flow to the subjects at hand.
This dude is hilarious and one of the best at improvisation I have ever seen, but every interview leaves me more impressed by his insightful maturity and wisdom.
This is such a synergetic interview. Matt Riffe has always been a pretty reflective person (most comedians are) and to match that with an interviewer who goes deeper makes for great enagement. Secondly, this is great advice for any medium you are in. 1) Do what you love or tolerate in any capacity. (focus on the action/performance) 2) Take small movements now for big leaps later on (writting every day) studying 30 min a day is completely better than cramming, trust me I know lol. 3) Make silence your friend. (Especially if you are person who needs to present on certain topics)
What a great interview! Rosemarie did an outstanding job, I wasn't expecting her to be so present and supportive. She asked the right questions at the right time, and Matt dropped absolute gems of advice. Thank you both, you were amazing!
I am beyond impressed with both interviewer and Matt. She is graceful with well thought out questions that are personal but not too personal. Matt's intelligence, compassion, humbleness, ambition and fortitude all shined like a beacon. I have no doubt he will be up there with all the timeless greats and I think that the life tragedies he has endured will in turn allow him the platform to bring awareness to help many. I'm looking forward to witnessing his journey and all the great things he will do.
I really hope he has a good support system around him. He's so genuinely forthcoming but he also needs to keep pieces of him to himself for safekeeping. ❤
the interviewer was so sweet and matt seems so comfortable and relieved talking about his past, dont worry man there'll be more lows but also more highs, RIP grandpa rife
I enjoyed the interview- and all the thoughts he shared as well as an interviewer who let him talk- I am very interested in comedy as most comedians are brilliant minds - very clever, very high on intellect and fast thinkers I enjoy that
Ohio loves you Matt. It gave u great roots - even if middle of nowhere, right now there is some kid who has has hope that he/she can create a life for his/her family - just like you did. Listen to Dave and pace yourself - (like a school year - the structure helps.) God bless. ❤ PS - Remember Robin Williams did a lot of performances for the USO -- so you “can” serve the US if you want!
You are an incredibly marvelous interviewer, you seem to be a very genuine woman. People don’t realize how it feels to talk to a genuine real person, you set the energy of comfortability. Such a genuine caring soul she has! It’s beautiful to see these 2 souls talk and have a conversation like this. This interview is amazing I love it
I literally discovered this guy about 6 days ago; his reels kept popping up on my (RU-vid) feed and now i'm OBSESSED!! Kudos to him for crediting and name checking the bigger comedians he worked with who gave him advice which he has clearly taken to heart and learned from.
For a number of reasons I am very cautious about clicking on Forbes' videos, but I like this guy and decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did. What a wonderful interview and the young lady interviewing him was wonderful! She followed the golden rule of good interviewing- she listened. Because she listened, her follow-up questions were always spot on and kept the conversation moving. He was completely comfortable with her. Loved this!
Unfortunately, he passed recently. I believe it's made Matt even stronger and more convicted in his craft. You should watch his "Matt Steven Rife" special.
@@dmenace9483 Thank you! I agree. It’s like the push and conviction to not only do his craft but to have respect for it. I appreciate the recommendation and will toss one back to you. If you like ghost hunting he did a few collaborations with a channel called TFIL and Overnight. Really really fun videos. He also did some travel videos with them as well.
One of the best interviews questions were in depth answers definitely insightful and demonstrate that he is genuinely a clever and honest man his comedy is appealing can't wait to see him in the future 😊
I really like the fact he is mindful of his career. I like the fact he knows its not luck its hard work that has brought him to where he is at. I also love the fact he is humble enough to seek advice from the peers he looks up to. All this makes him so human. And lovable.
I found out about Matt through RU-vid shorts and he is really funny and charismatic. I love his boyish charm. I have to find a way to see his show. Great interview!👍💜👏
I love Matt and his comedy, but let's take a moment to say a shoutout and great job to Forbes Reporter Rosemarie Miller. Rosemarie I salut you! Amazing interview.
7:45 that right there is the true sign of both wisdom and maturity. Have to say, glad I refrained from commenting earlier into the video as the whole interview was full of insightful wisdom and maturity.
