@@Nekotaku_TV RU-vid is really starting to suck with their swearing algorithm. I can watch dog fights, people dying, violent crimes etc but I better not swear when commenting...
I love Norm Macdonald. He's actually a pretty smart guy who reads a lot of books, which you can tell by him knowing the Andy Warhol quote. He's not that dumb thinking it was actually an Andy Williams quote. The fact, that he's willing to play the dumb guy, even though he's not, makes him one of the gratest comedians ever in my mind.
@@johnnyparsnips7641 He said Andy Williams on purpose and then butchered the quote too by saying "famous for 25 minutes" instead of 15 minutes. And now I said exactly what the previous commenter said.
No one in the US would ever think a Canadian is relevant enough to be included in. We know they're part of north America, we just don't give a crap. Irrelevant
haha it's true though, it's a crazy thought to think one day 400 or 500 years ago some guy threw out the N word for the first time and for better or worse it's remained to this day. If you take the emotional meaning out of the word and listen to what they're saying, it is kind of funny.
I actually thought the ending was hilarious but I can understand why it would make people uncomfortable. Patrice knew Louie was joking. It's all about context and the relationship you have with someone.
Yah, watching it now (and in England), it's out of context. But Patrice, LouisCK, and all the guys in that room knew each other really well (all the guys in that room during the Opie and Anthony show had a very similar, shocking sense of humour). It is funny to see it here so out of context.
@@GBrimstone Don't be condescending. Free speech is important, and if you think it's fantastic that wimps are uncomfortable at comedians laughing about a naughty word, then maybe its you that needs an education.
I'm black, Louis' N Word joke is the hardest that I've ever laughed in my life. I listened to the entire show and it came out of nowhere and floored me.
Whats lost in that last clip with Patrice and Louis CK, were all the Mexican and Jewish jokes Patrice was flinging at Louis CK for about half an hour before CK came out with his N word thing. CK was talking about how he was half Mexican, and his grandfather was Jewish. And, the two of them are friends, so they were really just taking the piss out of each other.
Loved Richard Pryor (RIP), one of his best one liners, he had gone to Africa for the first time and asked his guide "From what tribe do I look like my ancestors came from"- his guides answer "Italians".
@Chuck Norris Soft? My sense of humor is soft? Compared to it being hard? Like yours? What is a hard humor like and what's a soft? Is soft sarcastic and passive aggressive? Sure I have soft sense of humor. Where hard humor is the potty jokes, the knock knock jokes, the chicken crossing the road and the old but reliable hard humor favorite.. the awkward random loud yell of a racial slur for no reason what so ever.
When i was a kid Weakest link took the place of Who wants to be a millionaire when Regis left. My friends and I would always say "you are the weakest link, goodbye" in our best British accents
It's hard to tell someone where to begin with Norm...try 'The Swedish German' bit on Conan...my fav podcast ever is Norm vs some bloke named Stephen Merchant...Merchant closes by saying, 'Well, at least this appearance saves me a visit to my senile Uncle'. Norm is hard to describe, he made Merchant laugh at shooting children and a Letterman audience laugh at his own father's death. He is the greatest American talk show guest. He told a 5-minute joke on Conan and roasted a roast and both became legend. He is unique, Not for everyone, but if you like him you love him. Pryor is sort of the prototype for stream of consciousness deeply personal comedy. His versatility is displayed in a bit called 'Richard Pryor and the Mafia'. He would do these insane one-man plays with voices and characters, He could act, do impersonations, do it all really...not always funny to me, but there is a reason he's revered. He does a bit with a wino and a junkie that is actually deeply touching..I have no idea his intent behind it, and don't care
Lol that last joke sucked the air out of the room. If you notice all involved were laughing. Thats what comedy is, if you cant laugh at yourself, you cant laugh at others. My motto about comedy is this, "If you've ever laughed at something that someone else may find offensive, then you have no right to get offended."
You should react to the American Comedy Central roasts of, Justin Bieber, Charlie sheen, Donald trump, Bruce Willis, Alec Baldwin. They’re all hilarious! Love the videos lads
You should check out Orbit Culture. I suggest Open Eye or Nensha. Nensha is trilogy of songs, all three have videos and tell a story. Nensha, Rebirth, and The Shadowing. The band is so talented, and have inspirations of some of the greatest bands out there.
"YOU ARE, THE WEAKEST LINK!!" was annoyingly big in the US when the perky Ms. Robinson brought the show here. Seriously big, like, "No Soup For You" big for a moment in time. Didn't have true HOF Meme staying power though. This was during that time when prime time game shows like Howie Mandel's "Deal or No Deal" and Regis Philbin's "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" were runaway popular.
It's far too long to react to, but the full radio segment that the Patrice O'Neal/Louis CK clip came from is really worth listening to. 2+ hours of those guys together. God bless O&A for giving us so much Patrice content >>> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JKMv4GMeD_g.html
WATCH MORE NORM MACDONALD PLEASE! I really think you all would enjoy it and his audience in America is huge! I would suggest: Alcoholism, 12 minute joke, Bill Cosby, Dirty Johnny. Those four will get you started down the rabbit hole.
@12:24 that was Louis C.K, just cause it sounded as if you guys dk, and tbh he is one of the best out there, and tbh I think he only said that cause Partrice was there lol. But yeah, it's Louis, so you never know what to expect with him lpl.
Why do white people feel the need to act offended for other races, meanwhile Patrice is laughing his arse off at Louis' joke. Bill Burr said it himself, the highest form of comedy that one can achieve (and that he hopes to achieve in his life) is being 100% unfiltered. Patrice said the same thing once in reply to a reporter. Louis CK is on that level. Brits are too tame. Their comics wear full suits and joke about tea sets and the royal family.
If you wanna see some really good and funny comeback moments, I would highly recommend Steve Hoffstetter. The majority of his RU-vid channel is just destroying hecklers.
I've been to one comedy show and I got called out.. I was having a bad day n I was 17 n my friends were like fuckit let's get drunk n go to a comedy show since his brother was the bouncer but I took too many shots so I was closing my eyes to stop the spinning n the guy made a joke that everyone laughed at including me so he says "that even got the passed out high schooler to laugh" so I got kicked out
If you guys want to have a "balls out" laugh and conversation you've GOT to listen to the O&A youTube discussions. Some of what you listened to from Opie and Anthony were out of context. Those guys are all comedians who love and know each other in and out and they talk about EVVVERY THING.....funny stuff when friends argue, fuss and ream each other with stuff.
