Not only that, many countries that have terrible human rights records ask China for aid because they don't care about human rights records. "Killing tens of millions of civilians these last thirty years alone because [dominant opposing ideology]" China is jailing and most likely killing people in Tibet, harvesting the organs of Falungong, and trying to kill Taiwanese people by denying them membership in the WHO even though Niue (not a sovereign nation) is a member and silencing Taiwan. Journalists are disappearing. Human rights activists are disappearing. China's reporting of the COVID-19 epidemic is pretty sketchy. Not only that, China tried to stop countries from helping Taiwan recover from an earthquake. Oh, and I didn't even mention them getting upset when someone praises TW on how well they've done combatting COVID-19! So yes, China is just like the US, trying to grow a sphere of influence and they don't care at all about the consequences. Chinese nationalism is real. Don't be a Chinese nationalist. Patriots dare to criticize their country.
